Bar Clara

Chris and Tom were so accommodating and entertaining, some of the best service and conversations I’ve ever had with a bartender, friendly and welcoming environment, ask them to make whatever you’re feeling and they’ll do it! Best service, definitely a favorite in my books!

We had a lovely cocktail experience at Bar Clara. Bartenders Tom and Chris were friendly and knowledgeable. They happily shared their cocktail knowledge to help a novice home bar enthusiast and made our night an enjoyable and tasty experience. The cocktails we tried were balanced and delicious and we especially enjoyed the Banoffee Special. Thanks guys we really enjoyed it.

Had a fabulous couple of cocktails at Bar Clara. Got seats at the bar so were able to have a great chat with Tom and Chris. I highly recommend the Bizarro and the Banoffee Special.

I've been to Bar Clara a few times and it is always great - either for something special like birthday drinks or low key like an after work catch up. Tom and Chris are lovely, take excellent care of you and make the best recommendations for the perfect drink. The cocktails are beautiful looking, perfectly balanced and most importantly, delicious. Love this place.

Came in last Thursday night prior to going to a show with my mum sister and had the most delicious cocktail I've had in a long time. The host was so friendly and charming as well, I would highly recommend anyone looking for a quaint and quiet little pocket in Melbourne to check this place out!

Went there for a few after dinner cocktails. They have an amazing selection that changes with the seasons. Nice quite spot. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. This was the 2nd time we went there and will definitely go back

The cocktail list is always fantastic, and I get some amazing concoctions when I ask them to make me something random.
The staff are friendly and all make you feel welcome.

Was out in the city and happen to walk past Bar Clara which looked packed, staff managed to find us a table, and what an amazing find. Staff super friendly and excellent service.

They're able to make any other cocktail other than the ones already listed on their menu.

The bartender Tom was absolutely amazing and made the best cocktails I have ever had. Fantastic intimate vibes and wonderful staff

In short, it's all business there. Anything they "offer" even if it seems complimentary is gonna be on your bill. Just keep that in mind.

Yes, I know it's a business, just that it's run very differently to any other bars I've ever been to. 2 birthday celebrations there have both ended with bad feelings (one I heard from my friend afterwards and one I experienced first hand).

It is such a shame that the two staff members on were rude and demanding, as the cocktails were amazing. The experience with staff was enough for us not to visit again.

Friendliest service I've ever experienced and out of this world cocktails. Entirely worth the expedition to find this tiny tucked away gem.

The rudest waiter I have ever come across. When we arrived at the door he asked how many people? My friends said 4 and I added it was for a quick drink. He his hostile response was “I still need to know how many people”. He made us feel totally unwelcome the entire time. A very un-Melbourne experience. Such a shame as this place is usually great but won’t go back on principle.

Amazing staff and very knowledgeable and passionate about their offering of wines and cocktails. Good chill music too.

A fun vibe, quite loud however. Definitely should try this place out if you’re in the social mood! The drinks were average prices for a bar in the city.

We visited bar Clara and it left us feeling really awful. The drinks were nice, however, the way one of the staff members treated us was ridiculous. We paid for the bill and proceeded to exit the bar. As we were leaving, one of the staff shouted in their small but full venue “they haven’t paid”. It was extremely embarrassing as we have already settled the bill with a different staff member and there must of been some miscommunication. No apology whatsoever from the staff for the mix up. We definitely won’t be returning.

Incredible cocktails and fantastic service, what more can you want. I’d come back to Melbourne just to visit this bar!
