Baptcare The Orchards Community reviews
8Warning do not put your parents in here this place is toxic staff don’t have enough training the food is a disgrace!
As part of my work in construction, I have worked in many aged care facilities, this is the only one I could say I would be happy to live in.
What we've seen of the facilities, they're excellent. The property is still being developed, se we'll keep you posted!
Very disappointing facility, listed as high care with secure environment but refuse entry to aged people with these needs. Avoid this place - wasted 2 hours touring the facility even though I had provided the correct codes so they could check that the needs aligned with the facility capacity.

My friends and I visited the Baptcare, to have a better understanding of the independent apartment living and still under construction villas.
There is a lack of green space for lawn and flower beds. It does not have lawn bowling facility, which is very popular for many seniors.
The library is small, and has a not enclosed multi-media area. Being owned by a Baptist Church, it is not for multi-faith. However, the church is next to the building, and has no excuse for worshipper to turn up late due to traffic jam.
It is a concern that the service fee is not fixed for life. It is increased according to CPI.
For the apartments, they are comparable to other villages. The "hidden" fridge, and generous storage space. I doubt I can get use to the European style laundry as the area is rather tight for a washing machine.
One feature that impresses a friend is the USB chargers and probably ethernet outlets are found on the kitchen wall next to other powerppoints.
The corridors / passageways outside the rooms are very wide and can accommodate two wheeler chairs side-by-side.
Administration and medical staff hopeless - cannot even understand English. Baptcare hierarchy more concerned about being P. C.than providing proper care.
This facility is new and as my grandmother has been housed there, I was initially dubious of how experienced they would be. I have been so happy to see my grandmother blossom from being isolated and living alone to becoming a happy social butterfly! This organisation is a community and that is due to the incredible staff, the incredible meals (and desserts after each meal), the daily entertainment schedule ranging from having musicians come to play to games and travels through groups and movies. The rooms are the right size for place to sleep, have guests, eat and to watch tv as they have huge wall mounted televisions in their rooms. Each room has a modern and purpose built bathroom which even I would love to have. I can honestly say I would love to be their client and when the time comes, that’s my idea of supported living.
A lovely home for my mother to stay in, she enjoyed getting her hair, nails done and generally being looked after. Mum loved the food and that she could select from the menu options. She enjoyed taking her guests to the beautiful lounge rooms and being offered tea and coffee while entertaining, her friends.
