Shame about management and staff. They are always short staffed, don't take your loved elderly there they will be terribly neglected then due due to lack if care.communications with hand over staff is very poor if any, and food is terrible!
Been fighting with management for one year now. You would think they would get it together by now. Over the fighting telling them what they should do to improve. Don't go there, you will be battling for ever with them to get things done right. So many residents unhappy there.
Don't believe the 5 star ratings, all from staff. Run and stay away if you love your family member. My father was left freezing to death with his head hanging over the bed, no covering on him, no socks, clenching his arms together for warmth, on the coldest day ever recorded in June 2021. I was totally devastated when he died 3 weeks later with sceptacemia!

Disappointed that l kept asking staff to charge mum's phone it took 3 days then not charged again calling nurse station 1st floor phone is always engaged? Mum's clothes go missing.

"Because everyone deserves the best of care"? Well they certainly let my mum and me down. Let my money orientated sister, take her out of respite for no reason and not return her, and let me know after the event, even though I am mums Enduring Power of Attorney and full time live in carer. Gave them all the paper work, and they didn't respect any of it. They lied to the Aged care Commissioner, several times, and if I had the energy I would sue them. I have no faith in this place whatsoever. Disgusting staff, the fat lady with braids was a real class act, rolling her eyes at me while I was explaining myself. She was a nasty piece of work. Who lacked any respect and integrity. Go home lady your not suited to care for anyone. The staff were totally brain dead, took three of them to shower my elderly mother 4 ft 2, how humilating for her. Then ignored her most of the time. Mum's room was never cleaned and got got more grubby with each passing day. I cleaned it several times. Mum never left her room, no activities or outings that they initially promised me. Its like a prison for the elderly. I am truely appalled, I was promised the world and once I paid them, I got lies on top of lies. The co-ordinator only interested in making money and continuously lied. Security, well there is none, and the food, rather open a tin of cat food it would be tastier. I definately, would not recommend. Maybe for my dogs, then I would still think twice about it. God help anyone in there hands. No wander there is a Royal Commission into these places.

Dont like how staff treat patients, the meals are below standard

I’m so appalled and utterly concerned with the way an elderly man is getting treated at the Westmeadows aged care clinic. From December up until now I have witnessed this man wanting to commit suicide and having a major cry for help. On every occasion of running into this man (sitting in the middle of the road most times) he has continually referred to the aged car clinic to treat him with horrid behaviour, getting neglected and making him feel like he doesn’t belong, no human being should ever have to feel like they need to result to wanting to just end their lives. I truly believe that the staff at this aged care facility do treat him like this because every time I have had contact with the staff at this clinic they have treated me like In a way where they just don’t want to hear it from me. I believe an investigation into this clinic should be a high priority because the duty of care towards the elderly in the facility is being neglected. People there ages deserve to be treated the same way that everyone one else in the community do and it may also result to really looking into further cases of people that are there and if there is other facilities that may be able to treat them and care for them in a better way depending on there mental status. I believe if some thing doesn’t change with in the facility there will be a duty of care they didn’t provide to the clients and deaths will occur in a suicidal occurrence due to the negligence of the staff. My heart truly goes out to this man. No person should ever be treated in such a poorly manner.
