Bantatthong Thai Restaurant reviews
17 Chef was ex chin chin! Personally love Thai fusion / Asian fusion, this restaurant balances out the flavours really well. Favourite dishes were the smoked duck curry and the mango pandan sticky rice dessert.
A bit on the pricer side but well worth it.
Food was amazing. Well presented, flavour combinations worked so well. We ordered dishes for the table and shared, it’s definitely the way to go. Service was so good, polite and very attentive.
We had an excellent meal on Sunday evening, food had great Thai flavours, was served quickly and the restaurant was not noisy. And we found that it also has an upstairs seating area which can seat more than 24 guests. We liked it a lot and we'll definitely be back.
Great food, very attentive and friendly service. Very refreshing to find a Thai restaurant in the suburbs that gets away from the typical standard Thai menus. It’s a relatively small menu which for me is a good thing. What they do, they do very, very well. Highly recommend the duck wrap beetle leaf. The prawn dumplings are an absolute must.
Food was so delicious, visually stunning, freshest ingredients and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
By far the best Thai restaurant I’ve found. Quality and flavour of the food was sensational as well as stunning presentation
BANTATTHONG! From the second we stepped into the restaurant we had the warmest welcome by the fantastic staff members. The food is beautiful traditional Thai. The king fish sashimi is a must as it’s bursting with flavour. For mains I would recommend the duck red curry.
Delicious food. Lovee the Beef Masamaman & The Squid dish is amazing. Also had a secret dessert that's not on the menu, sticky mango rice, yummy. Will be back
Delicious food! And not all your “usual” takeaway Thai, love the presentation and flavours
I would say all dishes are excellent. Not just the presentation looks good but the test are there as well. I fell like home.
I love the Lamb skewer its delicious! Definitely will come back.
As we live in a culinary wasteland, whenever we do the airport drop off we find my fav cuisine (Thai) on our way home. What a find! Delicious and lots of veg variety, meat dishes fantastic, everything tasted so good! Reminded me of my trips to Thailand. We will try dine in next time as more menu items available.
Newly opened at the corner of the street, nice and cosy setup. I have ordered some chef's signature, highly recommend the lotus fried rice, pad Thai and the miang kham. Desserts are kinda fancy presentation.
Welcome addition to Bay St. Good clean food with great flavour. Decor is nice only problem is very noisy but that's not their fault.
Food and service was excellent. One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. Would highly recommend the kingfish sashimi, lamb skewers, pad see ew and passiofruit pannacotta for dessert.
Great to see somewhere with such high quality.and different things smoke duck and ribs are a must try!
The food was amazing and the young chef was very keen to talk to customers and explain the menu. This is some of the best Thai food I have had, and I have had a lot.
Brighton’s newest Thai offering, this little gem is worth a visit. Only open, at the date of this review, for 4 weeks, the food is tasty, fresh and authentic and the service and fitout is polished.
The chef clearly puts a great deal of care and attention into each beautifully prepared and presented plate, and he is often seen in the restaurant, checking in with diners and making sure everyone feels welcome and happy. The waitress was attentive, friendly, and always helpful.
The restaurant is newly fitted out in tasteful smart blacks with warm wooden trims and subtle, gentle lighting. Pleasant lounge music plays in the background.
We shared 3 entrees; a main with 2 sides; a dessert platter; 2 glasses of wine, and the bill came to $110. All very reasonable for a rather special Thai experience.
