Bannockburn Mitre 10

Bought 2 chainsaw chains was helped by staff, wanted the chains to suit a ms231 in which seemed to be in stock. Grabbed the 2 chains in which were clearly marked on the shelf for the ms231 and got home to find they were for a ms362 in which I now cannot use. Leaving for a wood cutting trip at 4am in the morning with now 2 chains that don’t fit better take the hand saw as I am not able to use my chainsaw.not happy.

Nearly every time I buy something there the price I pay is more than the ticketed price. And when I say something the answer is ' we have had 3000 price increases and haven't had a chance to change it. ' Please get your act together and loose the attitude.
A retail tip; change the price on the shelf first before you change the price on the computer.

Good selection of stuff but not laid out very well and a bit pricey compared to the competition.

Staff are so helpful at this store and so convenient to grab what we need without driving into town

Rang up to enquire about nozzles for sikaflex cartridges and was told because I didn't by the cartridges there they would not sell me the nozzles, so I told them it was the last time I will be going to this place. The assistance lady I was talking to on the phone was told this by the owner to tell me, great customer service from the owner.

Never a pleasant experience here. As locals we love the idea of having a hardware store close by, especially during Covid, but we tend to try and shop elsewhere as without doubt EVERY single time we go to Mitre 10 (formally Muddy's Home Timber & Hardware) we are disappointed with the lack of service. Leanne, in particular (who I believe is the owner) is always extremely rude, and knows everything about everything. We have witnessed other customers getting disgruntled about her service also.
The prices are ridiculous, and although it's good to support local, on our most recent visit we purchased a plastic item which usually would have cost $3, for $12.
In one scenario during covid, we asked a young sales member if they had any small garden shovels to which we were asked "for what", and we replied "for digging dirt". We were told no, they didn't have any. Questioning the response, they then got another team member who bought out not one, but FOUR options for us to consider. The one we wanted, we didn't end up being able to buy as the "item wouldn't scan in the system" and therefore they "weren't able to sell it as there was no price". Terrible
