Banjo's Bakery Cafe reviews
26 I usually have a lovely experience here, but today the customer service was dreadful, I had to ask repeat my order twice and I was still giving the wrong pie and sauce, considering it was not busy or noisy! When I recieved the pie it was cold. Rest rooms need a really good clean as well
Lovely display of food but the service certainly brings the place down.
Would have been a 5 but the bread is a tad overly expensive, as well as and inept worker taking 15 minutes to make a decaf almond latte! A bit outrageous, but great food and environment just choose better staff. Shanks
This franchise based outlet is a great place for food and coffee, especially in the early morning hours, as it is open and stocked with hot bakery goods from 5: 30 am every day.whilst the goods are baked in house, they are, like many chain and supermarket bakeries pre prepared. Despite this the pies pasties and sausage rolls, as well as the sweet treats are of very good quality and served by a cheerful and helpful staff. Whilst I prefer my coffee from another early morning provider, I often stop in to Banjo's Traralgon for a morning treat on my way to work. A great place to sit down for brekky and read a complimentary newspaper with tables and booths, always neat and clean. One of very few early morning Traralgon gems.
Great spot for a coffee and baked good. Wide range of great pies and pastries available, and probably some of the best in town at that. Also, Banjos is always open, and open late, and on public holidays, unlike many coffee shops in town. The management is also happy with people working there, but make sure you spend some money (don't kill the golden goose people!) Super reliable spot!
What happened to service with a smile? Pie and hit chocolate were both also below standard. I don't see how the rating got to what it is.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and the coffee and food is delicious! The staff were visibly hot, a previous employee told me there's only air-conditioning in the customer seating area! Look after the staff and they will look after your business!
Well for the second time in the last few weeks, I asked for a chicken & Avo lunch roll to be heated & cut in half which the shop assistant did, ONLY to find when I went to eat it minutes later, it was STONE MOTHERLESS COLD, it's very poor service & outcome when you
expect heated food to be hot, not like it's just come out of the fridge, absolutely very poor. Won't bother to buy from here again!
Best breakfast roll and coffee to start the day. Friendly helpful service. Recommend their food and drinks
I stopped here for lunch on a roadtrip and was really impressed.
My almond milk latte was divine, as were the pies, sausage rolls and quiche. They have smaller sizes so you can mix and match your lunch! The chocolate mud cake muffin was so fresh, moist and delicious. They give you a buzzer to collect your choices so you can relax at the tables while you wait. Having a sauce and cutlery station was great for self service.
The atmosphere was airy, light, modern and not overly packed in with tables and chairs. Having public toilets was really appreciated too.
The only improvement would be more cheerful staff and recyclable plates to eat off. I'll definitely go again on our way back through! I highly recommend a stop here.
Wonderful coffee, and they have the best sausage rolls and pies in traralgon. It's just ashame they are mini sausage rolls. The place is very clean, and their display cases are well set out and very inviting to all there amazing food.
I don’t usually provide reviews but today even though my wife was only able to eat there I really appreciate the staff taking the time to actually help with trying to accommodate my dairy allergy! And listening when I made suggestions about placement of items to not cross contaminate. Thankyou! And my wife loved her food!
Stoked we stopped here for breakfast instead the drive thru you know who (we're passing thru Traralgon). Blown away by all we had and we rocked up real hungry. I had egg and bacon plus ham and cheese toasties and a latte. The wife had a chicken Caesar roll toasted and hot chocolate. While we waited for the food to heat, we had a mini hawaiian pizza and it was to die for. Everything was tasty, the temperature was perfect and the young guy that served us was lovely. We will be back.
Delicious spinach and ricotta rolls.
Coffee is pretty good and open quite early perfect for before work breaky in a hurry.
Decor is quite nice too.
Just had a plain pie and a sausage rolls plus a vanilla slice from there.
Pie was just passing quality as the base was soggy, sausage roll was good but the vanilla slice was one of the worst I've had! Burnt bottom puff pastry, and way to thick icing on top.
. Never again!
A lovely bakery in town with homemade food. The pies always look fresh and are warm, and they have great slices and desserts. It's a nice place to stop in town for lunch. I would recommend it for a delightful dining experience to anyone hungry for bakery food in the area.
Been there twice
First time rang to see what time closing 6pm turned up 5 45pm for a coffee machine already cleaned?
Same last public holiday rang 4pm to check said closing at 6 turned up at 5.30pm told it was quiet we cleaned machine early? If you're open your open not half open! Very big pet hate
Complained to head office who passed on to owner no come back.
Coffee good, pies good! Just systems and communications need addressing!
Absolutely love this place I highly recommend it I go before work for coffee and duiring lunch break lovely staff and amazing coffee. Best coffee I've ever had
Came in earlier today and it was a little busy, got served by the head baker nick he was very friendly and polite giving us some great choices with our bread and pies will definitely come back everytime if this is the quality of the food and service! Great work! ️️
On the last couple of occasions of coffee and cake at Traralgon Banjo's bakery. Cakes good coffee good but the staff were not the hygienist in there duties. Seen one staff open something with her teeth as she was preparing hot drink for a customer, all whilst she was talking to the customer. Emptying the rubbish bins / changing rubbish bags and then straight to serve customers. 3.30 pm and
banging chairs upside down (packing up) on the tables so she could be out the door at 6pm to go home, when shop is open to public till 6 pmpm
16$ for two pies didn't really faze me but when I opened the meat pie to see about a party pies worth of meat really made me feel like walking back in n throwing it at bloke serving me I will never step foot in this overpriced bakery again
