Bambu Bali reviews
34Exceptional food, closet thing to Balinese food outside of Bali, great customer service, young lady working at the front was lovely
The food was quite spectacular, there was even a time where I forgot about my crippling depression
Found this hidden gem today and had such a good time here for dinner. Very reasonable prices. All the food was super delicious and the service was amazing! Will definitely be coming back!
I like to come here with my friends. The meals are quick and service is friendly. I would love to see more vegetarian meals in the future, I hope they expand.
Meals are well priced.
Loved the fried wontons, sour sauce that comes with was perfect combination. Beef was literally melting in my mouth. Sizzling chicken sound when the sauce is poured on the table was soooo goooood. Had Bintang. Reminded me of Bali. Really happy. Im coming back
There's not many Indonesian restaurants around so this is nice for a change. The food is reasonably good - not classically traditional or anything, but tasty enough. Service was pleasant and friendly.
We celebrated our freedom here tonight and boy what a great way to kick off being out of lockdown!
The food was absolutely amazing. Fresh, tasty, great portions, did I mention tasty?
It was so delicious!
The staff are lovely, attentive and gracious and really made us feel welcome and at home.
We will definitely be back and couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough, Its a little gem in Mount Evelyn.
Good to eat in.
Don't bother with takeaway,
Constantly leaving things out.
When you spend $100 you think they could take 10 seconds to check order
Awesome food, never been disappointed with the quality and variety.bambu Bali is one of our favourite takeaways.highly recommended
Hmmmm, szechuan sauce.bit of a stretch. None of that mouth numbing Sichuan goodness. More like sweet n sour wi Th some chilli flakes thrown in
My wife's 70th birthday is coming up in November, and as we can't make our usual holiday in Bali, my daughter suggested we have her celebration in Bumbu Bali restaurant. I went there with my friend, Jude, to check the place out and had dinner there this week. My daughter, who lives in NSW and is a great organiser, gave me a list of questions to be answered. There, Jude and I met with Bob, the Bumbu manager. What a fantastic chap! He couldn't be more helpful! He patiently went through our list agreeing to most and offering very helpful alternative suggestions where he couldn't comply. The young waitress was very attentive, without being intrusive and placed a bowl of krupuck on the table while we were perusing the menu. We ordered a plate of entrees to share and a main meal each, plus a plate of nasi goreng to share. When the meals arrived we were amazed at the generous helpings. Both meals were delicious and for the first time I can recall, I could not finish the bowl of nasi!
In all, it was a great experience. Bob gave us his email address in case we had any further questions and assured us of every helping the night, such as giving us permission to arrive early with table decorations, access to Indonesian musicetc.
In short, good food, great service, and great staff! Looking forward to going back. Terima kasih, Bob
Lovely meals and have been going since they opened, but they have increased their prices that much that I am sorry to say they have priced the takeway meals out of our reach. Very disappointed> I refuse to pay over $80.for a meal for 2 when I was paying around $55.
Service was great. Food is ok, not really much bali style food though and no "early morning bali special" prices there.
Kids loved it
Absolutely love their food. I was never a big fan of Asian inspired cuisine, but this restaurant completely changed my taste buds! Best honey chicken and sweet and sour pork. Food is fresh and very tasty. I would highly recommend trying this place, you won't be disappointed!
Thanku for making the best xmas eve night.
Only ever got take out from u guys till now, but now eaten in, so loved the experience.loved the food, and the waitress was the most amazing coolest waitress ever. We love Bambu Bali.
Have lived in Mt Evelyn for many years and hadn't considered trying Bambu Bali until today. WOW what a mistake, it was phenomenonal and is by far the best Asian food type establishment in this area. The meat was fall apart, Roti was crispy (but soft on the inside), veg was crisp, coconut rice done to perfection and the honey prawns felt more like a dessert, but you absolutely have to give them a try! Paid $95 with delivery and will have dinner for tomorrow too. ️
Their food is lovely however this might seem petty but I ordered roti with peanut sauce. I only received the Roti I didn’t order anything else to use as a sauce with the roti. When I called I was told to claim it back from Uber. What had Uber got to do with you not completing my order properly. Glad it wasn’t half of my meal or we would be starving.
Customer service is excellent. Food not so great. We've tried twice and both times not happy with the food. Awesome options for gluten free though
Best restaurant in the area everyone is great and very friendly and the food is awesome highly recommended
Date/time of visit: 4 June 2020,6: 10pm approx.
Venue looked well presented. Staff were also well presented and friendly.
We got takeaway of: Pandan Chicken (entree), stir fry beef with basil (not sure exactly what dish this was), a side of rice, and beef with vegies noodle box with Hokkien Noodle and Mongolian Sauce.
Pandan Chicken was excellent.
Stir fry beef looked a little watery but the flavours were good with a hint of spice.
Noodle box was great. It also looked watery but wasn't and it had good flavour. Unlike most Asian takeaways, the noodle box was best eaten fresh. Left overs the folllowing day weren't as appealing. Eat fresh and enjoy it when you buy it.
Happy with the meal.
