Such a great day out. BYO drinks, food, chairs, friends and have a ball. (food and drinks available if you wish to purchase) Dress up or dress down the choice is yours! Bring your sunscreen for the hot days; don't forget the race day hat! Don't wash your car before you arrive, it's a dusty dry car park. Ladies be wise with your choice of shoes; heels look good but beware of uneven ground! 9/10 from me! Giddy up!

Went to the market, and it was great. Lots of stLls, great variety, good food, great layout.

Loved the Balnarring Races, a great day out, a few soft drinks, BBQ and a bit of a flutter on the ponies.

A day at the races where the entire family can go and enjoy a pinic among the trees watch a race and go back to enjoy a family outing

Great place for a family day out, get the country style atmosphere, with plenty of people and relaxation while watching some local racing in a fun family environment. Bring along the BBQ and eski of drinks and slap on some sun screen and have a wonderful day with family and friends, and of course a few bets on the horses while you are at it. Well worth the trip down there.

Really enjoy the Balnarring picnic races. Next one on 3rd April. Bring rug and chairs. Food stalls and bar to buy drinks if you dont bring any. Has bookies. Can hire marquees. Small play ground and a a couple of uoung children rides. Check out website.

I kept the bookies happy. They have Mercedes and I drove home in my commodore. But it's always a great day especially on Australia day. Highly recommend the whole picnic racing circuit.

I love this track and the staff there are wonderful and incredibly helpful, we always have a great time even if not a successful one.

Picnic races - very photogenic place. Great races with family crowd. Betting at bookmakers and Tab. Food and wine available and live music. A great day out. Entry reasonable $15 pp.

One of the best racedays anywhere in Australia. Family friendly, bring the picnic rug and your own food and drinks if you wish, but plenty on course to choose from too. You can't have a bad day out here. Outstanding club, get it into your calendar. Took me a while to get to my first and I've not missed one since.

What an amazing day we had. Great parking facilties and such friendly staff. Picnic racing at it's finest is what you will have at Balnarring.

$15 entry fee is pretty fair, especially on Australia's iconic day.

I have managed to attend the last six in succession and there's always a shiver down the spine when the anthem is played.

Sometimes you will have the odd field of four, and then the next might have twelve runners. That's what you have to expect.

Always a great place to get full vantage of the race especially if you are near the winning post. The members get the best possie but that's fsir because membership here for the six meetings held is as cheap as chips.

I cannot believe those people that propose that Hanging Rock is the place to be on Australia Day for picnic racing.

They definitely have it wrong!
