Had lunch here yesterday. Lovely restaurant, great ambience

It was quite busy but the lovely Bec did a stellar job. Managed to be attentive, helpful and really friendly under pressure. She's a delight

The food was fantastic, the steak melted in our mouths, the chargrilled vegetables really tasty

Definitely somewhere we would recommend and return to when we are in Ballarat next

Went there with a friend we both had Stakes the sad thing was for the price of the stakes all you get is a baked potato nothing else everything else is an added on extra for an extra cost. But the stakes were nice, but I would definitely want to go back to a pub and get all the side trimmings like chips, salad, or veggies

Love this place, we travel from Ballan just to get a decent steak, the steak is always cooked to perfection and the flavour is beautiful, the service is 1st level very attentive would highly recommend to any steak lover

The baste! It's all about that baste. They do a mean steak, we adore the camembert but the reason we can't keep away are the CRISPY ONIONS! I dream about the until I can eat them again. Made to be Eaten with steak.

Can recommend the red bank merlot also. Good selection of wine.

I dined in tonight for my birthday. I’ve been living in Ballarat for about a year and a half now, and of the 15-20 restaurants I’ve been to this was by far the nicest overall. The food was truly delicious, the atmosphere was calming and the staff were kind and actually had real conversations with you beyond just running the food and beverages. If I could go beyond 5 stars I would, and I’ll certainly be back very soon.

Food is good but so extremely expensive. $10 for corn on the cob, $62 for Rib eye on the bone, $42 for beef sausages.

And when it comes to paying, they have the audacity to hover over you while asking you a tip.

Took a while to get a drink, our waiter didn’t know anything about the menu, the wine lady presumed that the male at the table was the wine boss, the atmosphere was average. The steak was delish.

It was great for the team to accommodate us as wall in.
And there it stopped.
Drinks came fast.
Had to ask 4 time to place food orders and someone came after 1 hour.
Asked for water and came after 35 mins.tables came after after us ate and left and here we were still waiting for food after hour and half.
Felt very neglected and awkward as other patrons looking at us like we were unwanted in the room.
Lost of appetite and what to eat a good steak after hearing so much.
Food comes now after hour and 40 mins.even not full meal.missing sauce as per order.
Disappointed with meal and not worth what I am going to pay for it.
Food is over cooked and burnt lamb and porterhouse.
Grill plate is stone cold so meat is getting cold faster than you can eat.
Sauces mushrooms and garlic taste same.

Very disappointed. Booked for 8pm and had to wait until 8: 30 to actually get seated. Ordered as soon as we sat down and didn’t receive our food for and hour, including kids meals. Food was average and seemed rushed when we finally got it.

Solid 3 stars, Steak has been mismatch over the last few visits, pricing is a bit high for what you get. Don't expect quick service, or a stable surface to eat on.

Once again we had a wonderful dining experience with great service and food to die for. The prices may be a little high but at least you get an expertly cooked meal if you like steak this is the place to go. The sides are great with plenty of choices. This is our go to place now

They fitted us in at a moments notice and are so friendly. The atmosphere was great, the team are so friendly and attentive offering informative suggestions. Service was spot on, we didn't wait long for anything. We had, by far, one of our greatest meals! We will definitely be returning.

Meals were nice but a bit expensive. No kids menu which was very disappointing. Nuts were loose under the tables we sat at, loose enough a 4yr old could undo.

Very comfortable surroundings staff were great very polite and helpful. Meal was perfect T-Bone medium to well done larges hot chips mushrooms hash brown and pawn skewer Awesome Thank you

Inside of the restaurant very clean. Food came quick and was great. Not much to really say but would definitely go back.

We took a mate here for his birthday last week, and I must say I was very impressed. From the starters clean through to the desserts, everything was delicious. We started off with prawn skewers, a baked camembert, and a garlic bread. All three were absolutely yum. For mains, we ordered two scotch fillets and a porterhouse. The two scotch were cooked to a perfect medium. My porterhouse was slightly overcooked for a medium rare, but was still amazing, especially when paired with the blue cheese sauce! For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and a sticky date pudding, and both did not disappoint. Finally, even though the food was all exceptional, it still was not the best part of the meal. The service was absolutely faultless. When I mentioned my steak being slightly overcooked, the server immediately apologized and asked if I would like another one cooked up, even though I had already eaten half the steak. I declined the offer because as I said, it was still beautiful. After that, they gave me a free glass of wine and the table a free orange dessert thing. While both were appreciated, neither was necessary. When we left, we felt completely satisfied and in awe of both the food and service. It is a bit more expensive than what we usually pay, but it was very reasonable based on the quality of the entire experience. We will be back very soon and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great evening out!

Amazing wonderful friendly helpful waitresses, our meal was cooked perfectly and so delicious.
Definitely be one of our regular places to go out to eat.

Greeting and staff were lovely, very attentive for a busy night.

Lovely Meal pork ribs, lamb loins, beef sausage, prawn kebabs, plus grilled corn, baked asparagus and baked potato.
(Pro tip, entree size and all together.)

My feeling, is not to bother with bed of salad on dishes.they added nothing to taste or meal. Missed opportunity to grill vegies on the kebab needle.
Very extensive wine list. Some good brewed beers.
