2 I'm posting this because I want to reiterate that I had a very negative experience with the Ballarat Regional Multicultural. I received a call from a woman at the multicultural centre trying to get in contact with me about meeting people in Ballarat. However I never contacted the centre at all and it was clear that someone just passed me along solely due to my race. Furthermore the woman on the line was very tone deaf throughout the conversation and mildly racist (e.g. She asked me if I was a refugee along, ignorance on even the basic modicum of how race works in Australia and along with other matters). I would highly recommend that new residents do not use the multicultural centre as the people who appear to be hired are not appropriate for their roles.
The reason why this review is not a one star is quite simple she simply didn't say anything explicitly racist or was rude in anyway. Howver that should not be what should be expected for any forward facing role. As a result I have put a star rating of two
