Ballarat Civic Hall reviews
13A great night out to see Urzila Carlson. Recommend the stalls for a better view and the seats looked comfier than the floor seats
A great concert venue. Staff are welcoming.
It's a clean venue, not to big or not to small.
Sound is not to loud and it's easy to navigate around.
A really beautiful venue. We saw The Sound of Music here by a local production company and it was perfect.
Went here for the C. F. A.medal presentation. It's a big hall. It was a cold day outside but o.k. Inside. Seating and everything was well laid out. All good. Jim
The Hall has been beautifully restored and is a great asset to Ballarat. I saw the Lyric production of The Sound of Music. The entire show from cast, voices, scenery and special affects was spell binding.
Apart from the front row being what at most venues would be 5 or 6 rows back, it was cold and very draughty.
The show was brilliant, and obviously, the facilities to put it on were more than adequate!
We had a friend upstairs whose seat lacked any padding, downstairs seating was adequate.
Went for a concert, seating not the best, become uncomfortable after 2hr30min.
Also not great to see the band from the lower area.
Loved seeing Ross Noble tonight, he was fantastic, getting in was easy but for parking I give 0/10, really need something better.
Not normally one for posting negative reviews BUT. Saw Ross Noble here recently. Front row seat. I had a sore neck after half an hour, because the stage is extraordinarily high. The temporary seats used were extraordinarily uncomfortable. I guess because it is all one level in the stalls they need to have a very high stage to allow those at the back to see anything. There is more I could say but suffice to say I shall never return. A very unimpressive makeover - if you can call it that. Could not wait to get out. Give me Her Maj any day.
As a part of Begonia festival, the civic hall was refurbished with a combination of fresh and dried flowers. The floating carpet was the highlight. The staff were very friendly and they did an amazing job. Thoroughly enjoyed the sight.
Went to visit an antique fair there. Not a big town hall but ceiling is pretty impressive.
The acoustics are soooo much improved and the room looks great. Pity about the lack of a bio box, kitchen or any way to get messages to the dressing rooms. Ballarat Lyric Theatre's; A Day with Disney was brilliant.
Tastefully restored and a suitable venue for many civic events. We went to see White Night and the display in the Civic Hall was impressive.
