Always helpful and friendly staff. Never have to go find someone to assist like that other place. They will help you with any problem. I can get timbers cut to size and they even help load it. They are "the Mighty helpful Mitre 10" stars. Thank God they are the other hardware store! Go to Ballan people!

Great local hardware. The time saved by shopping locally is more than made up.by the reasonable prices for a small local store.

Just want to give credit to these guys. Had a hole in my back deck that needed patching. Despite my small order of only 4 lengths of decking timber, they shipped same day just down the street from them. Was able to patch and repair just before Easter with their help. Absolute legends.

Good shop, they're helpful and have most general hardware items, there prices are perfectly reasonable (I'm always happy to pay a little over to support local business/employers) and I've found random items (a wheel brace for example) that was significantly cheaper than either Bunnings or Bacchus hardware. I recommend the store and will definitely continue to use them.

I am constantly surprised at how much diversity there is at Ballan Hardware. No need you leave town when everything you need is in-store and if it isn't - they'll order it in. Staff are more than just friendly, they're always willing to help and offer advice. And you know you'll always get the right advice because they are also locals with experience. I recently needed a gift voucher but they were out of the plastic credit card ones so the store manager went to the trouble of printing and laminating one for me.

Some of their products are a little expensive while others are reasonably cheap. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always around to give you a hand. Pretty much has everything you need for around the house maintenance.

Reminds me of how all the hardware stores were back when I was an apprentice.and they always seem to have what you need hidden away somewhere no matter how obscure the item. Prices are right too!

True country hardware store with creaky floors, different rooms and a fire blazing away. Staff supper helpful and knowledgeable. Great timber yard and all you could need in hardware.
