Ballam Playground reviews
31Lots of things for kids specifically in summer.kids can enjoy the water fountain and can swing, slide etc.plenty of parking.near the Karingal hub.
So many things to play on here now and for my kids can easily be a whole day experience.
They have larger kid and smaller kid areas. A flying fox, skate/scooter/bike course, water park, basketball hoops, trampolines, bbq area, swings, well maintain public toilets.
There is usually a Mr. Whippy and/or Donut van there on weekends.
You could easily go down for a picnic or you could make use the bbq areas.
Parking is ample and right next to the park.
Wheelchair access is good and there are paths all around.
Easy to access toilets and they have automatic button touch doors as well.

Fantastic little playground, with loads to do including sand, play, water, play and even loads to explorer on. I found this playground to be fantastic with my 2-year-old toddler. We spent a whole day there and were able to have a picnic. Great day out and we will definitely return to this park over and over in the upcoming months
A great playground. It's large and has many things to play on including a flying fox and inbuilt trampolines which I haven't seen before.
There's lots of soft surfaces around so it seems safer than most other parks and it's just well designed.
A decent amount of shade and the kids will love the large slid, flying fox and trampolines.
Not sure about the new plan of the park.
It would be nice to have a few more under cover seating places for winter.
The new water section is definitely a backward step compared to the playground that was there before.
New water sprinklers are great for the kids. Flying fox is always a favourite, plus plenty of food vans and Mr. Whippy.
Was better before the upgrade. Nice having waterplay but should of done it where the amphitheatre was instead of pulling down the main play equipment
The recent upgrade is fantastic, water area was great today, kids had a ball and plenty of big trees to sit under, free BBQ areas, playground is huge, a basketball court and resemblance of a pump track.
One of our favourites - I love that this reserve has so much to offer for all ages - our toddlers enjoy both parks (the big and small slides). There’s enough swings (two baby and two normal) in the dedicated toddler-preschool playground, and more swings in the larger park near the skate-able elements area!
I love that it’s not a typical ‘faded-plastic’ playground and uses natural elements. It’s incredibly toddler friendly with stairs and ramps that’s great for all ages (which I feel a lot of new parks lack).
Definitely gets a thumbs up from our family
Ballam park is a collection of sports grounds and the adventure playground and skate park. There are facilities like picnic tables, BBQ and toilets available. The adventure playground is really cool, my niece's love it and will happily play there for hours. There's good visibility from the edges for safety. The park is accessible.
Great open area + playground equipment with covered seating + public BBQ's. Perfect place to bring family and friends, is also close to Karingal hub for a snack to eat.
Fantastic children's playground with undercover barbecue facilities. Also has very clean public toilets.
Great place to go with your kids, grandchildren, walk your dog which is a dog friendly park, you meet some of the locals who don’t mind having a chat, there is a coffee van down at the park, it’s great to catchup with friends to have a cupper or mum, dad and grandparents to get a coffee which taste awesome and so does the hot chocolate.
Always a nice place to take the kids and there is a coffee caravan from time to time which makes it even better.
The park features and playground equipment is top rate! Love how they reimagined a traditional kids playground. That being said after 4pm there are groups of teenagers and younger adults that don’t create the most welcoming environment. Great playground for the mornings though!
This is one of the most amazing parks in Victoria that I have ever visited. It is a large area with lots of playground equipment. What's also great is that there are separate play areas for big kids and little kids. This means that you can let your little ones play without worry. I loved the unique playground equipment where the top of the mountain is a trampoline. Also interesting is the big slide that is very wide. There are many slides attached to the wooden deck of this park. All the slides were very attractive. This park also has a basketball court. There are also restrooms, parking lots, and BBQ facilities.
Well designed. Probably one of the most expensive public playgrounds in Australia. A double playground with plenty of everything.
It's a great place to take the family on the weekend, have a BBQ and watch the kids play. The BBQ facilities are well maintained and so is the equipment. I personally just love to relax under a tree.
