Baker Bleu reviews
37 The country loaf range is incredible.
Truly the best sourdough Southside with only Zelda in Ripponlea being able to contend but her days/hours are so limited it’s hard to get there most times.
My girlfriend & I would usually always toast our bread to eat but baker bleu’s is equally as delicious fresh or toasted.
Also happy to see the minimum spend on pre-ordering being reduced from $20 to $10 which is much more viable for smaller households for the midweek bread pick up.
The only thing stopping me from going here everyday and ordering everything is my waist line. It is just so good (and addictive). Love the fiselle and bagels
It’s fantastic!
It's so delicious! There are also two standing seats for eat-in.
I know this place but I have never tried it, but today I became a customer.
First of all, I was shocked by the huge machine in the rear warehouse, how many things are sold in a day? ️
The crispy skin of the croissant is different from the usual ones, I guess it is an extra layer of sugar water? So the color is more caramelized and the taste is more crisp️
This is not over yet, the taste is very very Q, as chewy as other sourdough in his family, and it is quite satisfying after eating one, unlike the empty ones in the market.
The one with mascarpone added in the lower left corner is also delicious, unexpectedly not sweet.
Potato flat bread is super crispy and super Q after being air-fried and heated at home. 1/3 slice is just right for one person
Not far from the park, next time I want to take it out and have a picnic in the park
I thought I'd reviewed Baker Bleu before, I've been a couple of times, and I've always enjoyed my visit. I'm fortunate, whenever I visit, I walk straight in. There's never a queue. Admittedly, I've not been for over twelve months, as I moved Northside. Things are just as good as I remember, though.
I arrived early, the sun was shining, and the shelves were brimming. I wanted to beat all the 4x4s on their dangerous drive around the rough terrain of Melbourne. I'm glad I did. There was plenty left. Last time, I missed out on some of the pastries.
The staff were nice, they talked me through the pastries. Like all good bakers, they have a core selection and seasonal rotations. I'm a humble croissant kind of guy. They are top of the charts here. In the top five in Melbourne for me.
The croissant is a bit different. It's well laminated as you would expect, but the dough is a sourdough, I believe. It's nuttier, chewier, heavier, and they have great bite. It's a unique croissant, and that's why I love it. The breads are also very highly rated. People come from all over Melbourne for them. I also had the cinnamon pastry, which was fantastic. It stayed fresh all day, so I had it in the afternoon with a beautiful pourover coffee.
The shop is small and ideal for takeaway, but there's a few seats outside, and the streets are nice around there.
Some people can't make a sourdough croissant. These guys can. Follow my socials for more.
My favourite bakery in Melbourne at the moment, have been incredibly successful and they still maintain that quality. Service is knowledgeable and pleasant and great range of products
Treat yourself!
Some of the best bread I've ever eaten. Not exaggerating!
They have a small range of pastries as well and will shortly be offering coffee. Don't sell yourself short by leaving without a loaf of some description!
Wonderful bakery with a European feel, lots of bread styles to choose from and wonderful crispy croissants!
Best bakery in the area. Was the place to be during lockdown. Lines were so long. People are very respectful. Love their breads
The pastries and bread are soooo good. Pastries are so crispy and tasty. I bought mine from the new double bay store. They also have a really nice selection of fine condiments and sandwiches to purchase as well. Highly recommend a visit.
Your croissants are being overdone these days compared with 2 years ago. Still taste yummy once you get past the crust. Surprised no one in queue at 8 this morning?
It is one of trendy bakery shop. We went to the one in Caufield and it is just for take away.there are 4-5seats outside. Lots of bread and metchandises as well. Bread is so tasty and chewy.it has unique size of bread and they accommodate what you like.
Greatest bread on the planet.
I drive 1 hour and 20 min just to buy this bread when i have time.
Hoyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa - came here for croissants and the super country loaf. I had the sourdough in a sandwich at home and gahd dayum, it was so delicious. It was like pure magic, I had this at a restaurant last year and it was exactly the same. Highly recommend to anyone who wants their life changed for the better.
- Croissant-Plain $5
- Pain au chocolat $5.5
- Barberry & Pistachio Escargot $7
- Mushroom Pizza $12.5
Very impressed with their plain croissant and pain au chocolat. The flavour was simply gorgeous. It had the taste of the sourdough with a hint of sweetness but in a flakey texture. You might not be able to tell from the photos but the croissant was massive.
I’m slight disappointed with the escargot. It was too dense. Felt like I was eating the berries separately. The mushroom pizza tasted good but the crust was too hard.
Came in the Caulfield store with my husband today. The store only allowed 2 people inside due to restrictions. My husband went straight to the counter to order the bread he wanted. As I started looking around and was about to ask the other staff if they have something I was looking for, I got kicked out immediately because she wanted to serve the next customer. She made me feel like I was a really rude person. I had waited for almost half an hour in the queue to be inside of your store. At least you could have let me see what you have on your shelves and asked if I need anything. And if you only allow one person per household inside, you should have stated that on the entrance.
Really disappointed for such a first visit although I have really enjoyed your bread (that I bought from another stockist).
Looking forward to trying your bread and pastries.
The line this morning just after opening went down the street and around the corner.
Better luck next time
Healthiest sourdough bread around the city. I understand why people line up every weekend here. Wholegrain, ancient grain and baked fresh each day.
Had to try this place after reading all the great reviews.bought some bagel's and croissants.sorry to say but they were as average as you can get.the bagel's were burnt and hard to chew.i think enough said.
Excellent Bread.
Very sad young lady who serves. She never smiles and should be a Police Woman.
ALSO, Very saf and disappointed that they do not have a bread slicing machine.
Very expensive products but well worth it.
