Backpacking Light reviews
51Totally helpful in-store sorting out the best backpacks to meet our needs. Had to order stock in and, as promised, received the text within a week advising everything was ready. Great service!
Its not 6month using. As everybody knows group outdoor activities have been restricted since late February. As I told you I used that a couple of times. I asked your staff to give me a women version not a men one. My friends have the right one and differences are not minor. A lot of differences in mater of ergonomic designing and shape. About the adjustments you mentioned, the day i bought it the lady adjusted that on my body so it is what the stuff adjusted.
I bought an ultralight tent, backpack, water filter and a bunch of other kit online. When I emailed about my order I received exceptionally good service and found staff responsive. They answered all my email queries promptly, called when a discussion was better suited, and were invaluable in making me feel confident in my purchase. Even though I wasn’t there in person, you could tell it was service delivered with a smile. The goods were posted without delay and arrived in perfect order and in a timely fashion (I’m based on Sydney). Extremely satisfied and will buy from Backpacking Light again!
Great, helpful staff Kate and Micheal. First heard no refound policy on discount items in AU. Never ever buy important kit in small business, because another guy mentioned "unfriendly grumpy manager. "
I experienced phenomenal customer service when I bought a Montane Jacket and the staff were more than happy to answer all of my questions. Great range of quality, warm gear too at a reasonable price compared with other places. Highly recommended.
Just popped into the Melbourne store to have a look at daypack choices.
I was lucky enough to have the delightful Hazel help me out. Very knowledgeable and confident with a lovely sense of humour. I walked out with an Osprey Stratos 24 not only very happy with my daypack but also the whole buying experience.
Picked up a helinox chair yesterday.had a fantastic retail experience. Great service and advice.
Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices and a good selection of lightweight gear. I found exactly what I wanted here.
These guys know backpacking and hiking. Best place to buy ultralight equipment. The staff know what they are doing and are really happy to give recommendations.
They have a much deeper and more technical range than the commercial junk you get at Aussie D's or Anaconda.
Excellent service and everyone there is happy to chat and provide advice to aid those new to backpacking!
Much better layout in the new shop and unlike Bogong, across the road, some very friendly and helpful service.and you don’t feel you are being talked down to.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They had what I needed, (a small backpack raincover) albeit only in fly to green. 20% off was a bonus. Would definitely go back.
Very good range of products. All staff are super helpful and friendly. They don't push you to buy something just for a sale like most other outdoor shops. Competitive pricing.
Fantastic service. AusPost has issues with my delivery but Backing light were responsive and very helpful. I purchased a mat and it working perfectly! Will shop again!
Staff are great and know their stuff. All good quality products at fair prices. But you do get what you pay for.
Got my backpack here and I absolutely love it! (Not to mention I stuffed up and brought the wrong one to begin with and was able to swap for the one I really need - no problems!) Great customer service, they were incredibly patient and kind to me through the whole process.
Very surprised to see some of the negative reviews here, particularly regarding the customer service which is the main reason I choose to come all the way into the city and buy here instead of online.
Always appreciate the advice from the staff and have never felt pressured to buy. Staff all speak highly of the owner so obviously the passion is coming straight from the top!
Thanks for restoring my faith in outdoor gear retailers!
Went here yesterday to buy some base layers. Guys in the store were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
Awful and rude customer service never get there again
Lady cashier don’t know how to looking after customer.
Our shop of choice for top end brands like Aarn & Nemo, that we rely on so much on our extended walks. We've had great service every visit, with the pack fitting and usage advice a highlight.
A recent warranty issue was dealt with promptly and with no fuss - even with a product we had used a lot - a sign of a business wanting to build a long term loyalty.
As to the post that gave this place one star for not being given a free plastic bag (!) - you need to do your bit and be accountable for your actions in the real world that bushwalkers live in.
