I was attracted to this place because of the good reviews, and the early quote I got for a custom made bed frame at an affordable price.

The process of ordering left me really reassured - I changed my mind several times about the design specs, and the team were very patient and accommodated, while also being sure to let me know when an idea wasn’t as technically feasible as I thought, or would cause unforeseen problems in any way.

When the frame arrived, it was simple to build, and the quality of the wood and the craftsmanship was so clear to me. Thank you Back to the Futons for your patience in helping me design the perfect custom bed, and for the love and craft you put into building this. I'm still somewhat in awe that I was able to have such a gorgeous, solid-wood, custom frame for such an affordable price. Thank you Richard and Geoffrey. You are true artists, business people, and customer service experts.

If friends and family ever needed an additional frame or futon, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this business.

Awful company. Does not keep the place where they store their transport van in Ivanhoe clean from graffiti. No concern for neighbors.

So good to sleep on a futon. We bought a latex futon with cotton and wool, best sleep and wake up with full of energy. This shop is excellent and very knowledgeable.

I got the cotton futon and I guess there is a reason these are cheap. It seemed all good at first, but the cotton is coming through the futon covers, and little particles are all over me when I wake up. I have to wipe cotton dust (presumably that's what it is) off me every morning.

These guys are fantastic! Purchased a queen size Tahani sofa bed with the super Sumo mattress. The build quality is excellent and the mattress is super comfortable. Michael & John are incredibly friendly & helpful.

Easy to order and chose new futon. Delivery fee very reasonable. Factory is a bit hidden away but no carparking issues!

Richard adapted the day bed to our specifications and it is fabulous. He even organised to have the bolster covers made with the fabric we chose. Back to the Futon makes beautiful simple furniture, is reasonably priced and Richard is a great communicator.

After using it for seven months, all I can say that its worth every money spent. Would highly recommend giving it a try before you spent thousands on other brands.

Don’t get a Eva or koala, get a futon! None of the complications, just quality sleep without the worry of sagging or any of those nonsense

Amazing! I have bought two mattresses - the sumo wool (still comfy after sleeping on it every night for 4 years) and just purchased the latex sumo wool. They are so comfy. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and it was delivered Monday morning. Professional and fast. The guys measured up my bed base to make a custom made bed head, which will be delivered within the week at an extremely reasonable price AND spent time making sure my bed base was perfectly sturdy.
