Back to Bacchus Restaurant reviews
45Recommended by a local as value for money, which it was. Food was served quickly, tasted great. Beer selection only thing that stopped 5 star.
Awesome staff, food is amazing and we always feel welcome. Overall, a great restaurant to go to!
We stopped at the town for lunch.
Looked for something nice and we faund it. It all balanced right.
Recommended, I'll be back!
Absolutely authentic little restaurant, great friendly staff and decor with old world charm and wholesome meals
This is one gem in Bacchus for, numerous scrumptious dishes. You can't go wrong for a great place re all you could want re atmosphere and service, including price.
Food very nice great steak
Bit short on chips and veggies but chips fabulous
Price good and fair
Staff very friendly and service great
Atmosphere very cosy and warm
Will be back
Lovely atmosphere and service. Always adored this place. Love the historical pictures and the sense of history. Food is great as well.
Great value for money and nice atmosphere.
The decor on the walls shows historic pictures of Bacchus marsh which match the historic look of the building itself.
The meals are reasonably priced and a large serve for the price.
They serve grass fed beef with chips and salad for only $28 which is a bargain!
Staff are friendly but sometimes not that attentive and you might need to reach out to get there attention to order, but overall a great place for a decent meal.
They also have senior specials which are generous sized portions and very affordable pricing.
Regular local dine here frequently. How frustrating that the management did not update the phone or web page to let us all know that they were closed over the holiday period. Still showed the usual open hours etc, even drove down to the Village, not happy….
Never again will I dine here
Friday night dinner for a birthday dinner. Dinner was served and plates were disgustingly still dirty from the last customer's meal. Not only my plate but every one elses plate was putrid.
Spent Saturday with diarrhoea and upset stomach. Never again and totally disgusted with experience
Worst website in the world. We tried to book but got spammed with add after add and all we wanted was a menu and to book.
Best meals in Bacchus Marsh, great price, service and food. Been there many times and have never been disappointed
We've been coming here for 5 years and whilst we love the food, the service can at times, be very poor. The waitresses need training on how to properly attend to customers. After they show you to your table, they walk off instead of immediately asking you if you'd like a drink. A standard in customer service.
Sometimes you sit there for 10-15 minutes before they come back, by then you're desperate for a drink!
One of the waitresses Lucy is excellent, but the others should look to her for guidance and professionalism.
The guy Daniel surely must recognise us after 5 years but always asks us what name we've booked under as if we are new patrons.
It's not hard to remember frequent customers names surely? He also tends to be miserable most of the time as if he'd rather be anywhere else.
The food is great, cheap with generous servings.
Just don't go there expecting timely or good service.
Food was good.
Service was very Slow
Waitresses could do with some more guidance and training.
Modern? Nothing modern here. Cheap senior meals that you wouldn’t pay full price for.
When is Bacchus Marsh going to get a decent restaurant? The choice is woeful.
We went to Back to Bacchus restaurant on our way back form bacchus marsh cherry picking. All the food we ordered were delicious. We got the bush walkers pie, Parma, Mediterranean chicken (my favourite) & king prawns with rice. Portion sizes were quite big and filling. The vibe is ambient & perfect for family dine in. Everyone left with a full tummy and a happy face.:)
Great staff, great place. Stuffed my order up though. Ordered steak with mushroom sauce, got steak with peppercorn sauce, plus had to ask for steak knife. Otherwise fantastic place.
The description says "modern Australian restaurant" but absolutely nothing at all struck me as being modern here. It is more like the old-school family restaurant of the 1980's and I do understand why so many locals love coming here. Large portions, a heavily-discounted seniors menu, inexpensive cocktails, general bar list and very reasonable prices.
The menu is very similar to an old fashioned pub bistro and has all the tasty ol' Aussie favourites served with rice, chips and salad. The patrons love a good parma, a mild curry or a big pot-pie. It works for them and they have no need to change a thing, and haven't.
The service is adequate.
Street parking.
Do not sit in the front room on a hot day.
Good food at a reasonable price unfortunately a bit rushed due to covid restrictions but I guess that's the world we live in atm.
We' ve been on our regular lunch and it was as nice as ever. Thank you for being with us in these difficult times and we'll try to support you too
