Service was horrendous. I ordered three coffees and the total came out to $11 and I asked if that was two coffees or three and she said three. Upon receiving the coffees it was incorrect and I did my best to tell her politely but she scoffed, rolled her eyes, snatched the cup off the table and tried to make us pay for a whole new one. Overall terrible service and the coffees were even worse. It was like drinking hot milk. Disgusting attitude with disgusting drinks.

We ordered a smashed avocade and fritters. The service was good and the order arrived quickly. The smashed avocado was fresh and delicious and the portion size was slightly small. The fritters were tasty but the portion size was quite small for the price, there was not enough yoghurt and the salad leaves were too big to eat comfortably.

Great place for coffee and catchup. Very pricey though. Had breakfast 3 adults one young child. Over $200 later
Bit expensive just for breakfast. But was delicious and service was top tier.

Purchased a coffee from Axil the other day - it was a weekend so was a relatively long wait. I noticed other people who came after me getting their coffees first - my coffee order got lost. Coffee was average.

Good place to get a coffee and take a rest after shopping time in Chadstone. Vibe is quite nice. The staff is ok. Coffee is great.

I went to this place today and I ordered the zucchini and corn fritter! I would like to say I was very surprised after seeing all this good reviews! The dish was full of relish I really could not taste any other flavour just the relish that they put in the whole thing even the egg and avocado and everything I mean a bit of relish probably is ok but if I wanted to eat a large amount of relish in my food I would not go to a restaurant to get it. Also I have seeing the pictures of this dish in someone’s else post and it did not look as bad as mine I am not sure if is the same chef but definitely not good!

Absolutely, fantastic menu.but, a small portion. I really love the food here. The service was quick, and with smiles on faces, rare things to see these days.

Bad service attitude! A yellow coloured hair smashed cup on the table. I don’t know if it is because too busy or just we are Asian

We had a well needed coffee stop during our Christmas shopping. We had an iced mocha and ab iced coffee to recharge us. Cool and delicious. Great friendly service

I don’t normally review coffee shops inside centres but feel the need to. These guys were great. Fresh food and great coffee with timely service. I was seated next to a very rude and demanding couple and the team handled it professionally.

Best coffee in Chadstone. If you love your coffee, you need to come here. You can taste the devotion they have to their craft.

Missus and I went here for brunch, got a table within a few minutes and both had Smashed Avo, scrambled eggs added on and a chai. We both recommend it, the food is good, even if there wasn’t as much egg as we thought.

The salmon dish is to die for! This place is always busy but deliver on good quality food and coffee every time:)

We were seated straight away, everyone was super friendly.it's a little pricey but what isn't nowadays.cold drip coffee was perfect and decently priced.the eggs were great and the grain bread wasn't too tough like a lot of cafe style breads are.everyone was really friendly and talkative, not sure of any of the wait staff's names but they were fantastic!

1 star is too much. There is a blonde haired girl here with shoulder length hair who has SO much attitude. She said “we are closed we are doing takeaway and you can sit around the corner”
She didn’t tell me if I was to get up and order or if it was table service. I couldn’t grab her attention as she was too busy chatting away to someone so I politely asked another staff member to order (get up, table service, etc) I must add I was so nice and asked normally. The blondie then comes out and shows me eyes and starts waving her hands saying “what’s so hard to understand” and says I’m calling security. How rude, how disgusting of her. This is a shame to this cafe that the face of your business is such people. I was still nice and said “hey maybe I misunderstood all I asked was how do I place my order” and she kept going on saying “go somewhere else”

SHAME. Disgusting and pathetic. I feel sorry for the girl she needs help.

The only saving grace is their amazing coffee. Average food and the service was dismal! Their seating management system is a big FAIL!

We had to wait 15 mins to sit down while 5 tables remained empty. In our time sitting and ordering, the course of 45mins these table still remained empty. And when we left a massive line outside the door.

Axil in Chaddy is the ever-reliable cafe one can count on for good food and great coffee. We arrived on a Saturday morning, well before the shopping rush and were seated quickly. I always make a point to try the batch brew, which was delicious, a Rwandan Cyarumbo that had beautiful, fruity notes. We also loved the beef brisket! The beef was soft and flavourful, the sweet potato waffle was savoury, and with the hollandaise and chili pearls, everything came together really well. The scrambled eggs on sourdough was simple but well made. Service was quick, very light touch, and no nonsense. I'm glad we made the stop; it was a great way to start a day of shopping, especially with excellent coffee and food to match!

They show coffee prices that actually are takeaway without declaring it. Then they charge extra for sitting and then charging for card payment. No, they don't charge for leaving.

Great coffees. The baristas know their coffee and can do good double espressos too. The coffee beans I bought were great too and fresh. I just wish they sold their non-seasonal beans at 1kg pricing in store.

It was okay, brisket sandwich barely had some brisket in it but was tasty. Menu is on bit of over priced side. Coffee was good. Bit overpriced menu
