AWS SERVICES - Civil & Construction Contractors

Don't even deserve a 1 star!
Poor quality, poor value, not professional, not responsive, one word to sum up this company is SCAMMER!
DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE!

Provided labour services to help them complete a local council job, 3 weeks work, extremely disorganised company, working with 3 other companies sub-contracting, all 4 companies struggling to get paid, 3 companies quit during the job, and the site supervisor.
Would recommend extreme caution when dealing with tis company.
Our company is still owed approximately $30k.

AWS Services provided me with the poorest communication I have ever had from a contractor, and seem to place little importance on integrity.

When I say "poorest ever" I'm comparing that to a lot of contractors. Through my work I have contracted over $1B of works as principal, from small contracts in the thousands to contracts in the hundreds of millions. I like to think I can pick good contractors and my projects are delivered on time and under budget, at least until this one. I chose AWS Services for some work I needed done personally, and I regret that choice.

The works were meant to be done in a couple of weeks and took many months. I literally never heard from the Project Manager who was appointed after one phone call early on where he called me instead of the site contact because he couldn't find the job. After that - he wouldn't ever answer his phone or emails, and I would call the office regularly to ask for him to contact me and he never did. If it wasn't for the fact that I had known past clients of theirs I would have believed it was a scam and that there was no AWS Services, and my deposit would never be seen again.

Once the works did eventually commence, communication was still non-existent, and then when my agent was able to speak with the PM or team on site by literally visiting the site to find someone, they were told lies. The job dragged on and I was caused significant revenue loss without explanation as to why. I lost the equivalent of 25% of the value of these works. AWS Services did not deny that their PM had caused these losses through breach of our contract.

The real test of a business is not how universally they perform well, it's how principled they are when things go wrong. I rate AWS Services poorly in that regard. I didn't insist that they compensate me for my consequential losses (not that our contract excluded them). Instead, I simply said that they should propose a reduction in their fees that reflected their assessment of how well this job aligned with their principles and standards. They picked zero, so I paid them in full. They did at least apologise, which I appreciate.

If I was generous I could say that perhaps this just wasn't a job of the right size for them, but in fact I think they are a company you should not engage for a job of any size.

Aside from the PM, I did deal with a Tabatha and an Erica from the office, both of whom were very courteous, clear, and effective in their communications when after the job I eventually managed to get onto someone who would listen. It would have been nice if the people actually involved in my project could communicate that well.

We have just completed office fitout with AWS Services for the 2nd time and once again, thrilled with the result. Their team have been patient and gone above and beyond to assist us in our ever changing compliance requirements and commencement dates. Their time estimates were spot on and the attention to detail and end result is of the highest standard. Thank you again for another great project!

Called about organising a quote and when describing my situation, I was cut off mid-sentence and was told we don't do that. No idea how he knew when I didn't even finish my sentence despite their services listed on their website.
Very rude, don't waste your time calling.

We have employed AWS on a number of cbd office refurbishments and on each occasion we have found them to be reliable, proactive and quick to respond. They have particularly impressed us in the way they have managed difficult site conditions, such as multi-tenanted buildings. They have an “aim to please philosophy” and work very hard to achieve just that.

Great shopfitting for our studio. Very good communication from initial contact to installation. Competitive price with multiple options and alternatives as requested and more than reasonable turn around. The shopfitters were punctual, curteous and above all extremely competent at their Job including a fantastic clear up at the end of each day. Over all, we're extremely happy with the service, product and price we have received so far

Top blokes and transparent pricing. Aws services performed quality concrete cancer repairs for our block of units. Had excellent communication with their project managers and techs. All strata members are happy with the work.

Very happy with the facade refurbishment & recladding done by AWS Services for our childcare centre. Great service and reliable work.

Don’t do it! Worst experience ever! Terrible quality of work.fixing things a year later. Terrible communication. Rude, half staff doesn’t even speak English.ripped off.please do not use these in experienced rude arrogant unqualified people.hire a person who has a qualification/speaks English/knows customer service/knows how to communicate and understand what you are wanting before getting these guys out to do NOT what you want and charge you more and more with hidden costs and never returning texts, emails, phone calls. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/ENERGY or MONEY!

Carlos is the most difficult person I have ever dealt with. I found him rude, curt, unprofessional and his team of so called tradesmen left way more problems than I started with. Please beware. Use someone else in my opinion.

I had my balcony done last week it was a outstanding job with water proofing. I have no issue at all with leakage at all.

One problem after another. I employed AWS to fix part of my bathroom ceiling. Paid the deposit and organised a time with them to start works, no one turned up, I left several phone messages, emailed twice and received no response. I called head office and was told the person who was meant to come had left the company (it wasnt until I followed up that they decided to inform me of this). Was then told that they were trying to find someone to assign the job to. 1 week later still hadn't heard anything, I again called them back. Was told someone would be out in the next few days. Over the next 2 weeks had several different sub contractors attend which left my ceiling looking terrible, a completely different rough finish to the rest of the roof, a different level to the rest of the roof, and a different colour, they also failed to fix the cornice which I was told was part of the initial quote. Contacted their office again. Another week later was told by Brad the project manager that he wasn't aware I wanted it "done properly". Another person was sent out to fix it. 6 weeks later when the job was meant to take 2 days to complete it was finally finished and you can still see the uneven render that was initially applied. Strongly discourage anyone from using AWS, unprofessional subpar service.

I was looking for someone to recoat my concrete floor and saw AWS with a number! I called and received a call right back! Carlos was a pleasure to do business with. He and his team are very professional, neat & get the job done! I would highly recommend his waterproofing company. I will definitely call him again for future jobs!

I was extremely satisfied from day one - from the leak detection that needed to be done to completion. Very professional, prompt and a man of his word which are all great qualities to in dealing with an individual who will be trusted to work in and on your home. I will definitely recommended their waterproofing services to all my friends and family and always use them in the future, if needed, without hesitation! I was thoroughly impressed with AWS Services throughout the process of rebuilding and waterproofing my foundation. I met the estimator before the job at my home multiple times and he walked me through the process. We continued to communicate on the phone throughout and his team was very professional and respectful of my house and my space.
