Avila College reviews
17 Personally, I wouldn't recommend this school. MOST of the teachers lack the ability to understand feelings of the students despite saying that "they understand how we feel" when trying to comfort us.
Another thing that has ticked me off is how the teachers act immature. It does depend on the teacher, SOME are nice, but most of them aren't great when it comes to teaching. They don't help the students when they do need help with the work and just disregard the request.
I go to a different all girls school but i really wanna come here
because my cousins go here My other school is kinda messed up
I keep wondering is there a girl in year 9 at this school who is dating someone from dandenong high?
email me if so-
There is a wheelchair car park but it is taken up by a sign stating there are currently exams taking place. Of course this should have been moved to a standard car park to allow those that need to, to use the only invalid space allocated at the front entry. Also there are building works happening and the building trades people appear to have taken over most of the car parking which should not happen, they should park around the corner in other streets.
Avila is a great school. The teachers and students are very Kind and respectful to one another and they offer many opportunity's for the students there.
Can someone please tell the principle a phd in education does not give you the right to use the title of 'Dr'
The school is horrible worst teachers about 0.5 percent of the teachers are nice and the only good thing about the school is the campus even the students are rude.
Def not a recommendation. Worst school that anyone that could possibly go too. The teachers aren't good and the school is a depressing place.
First of all the teacher can’t teach, they lack in every aspect and fail to teach the student without a powerpoint and talk for the entire class. I don’t recommend your daughter attends Avila as it actual hell as the teachers are always picking on individual student and As a former member of Avila the core reason I left was because of the lack of support the teachers show and the way the schools runs. It made me hate getting up in the morning.overall DON’T RECOMMEND!
Don't believe anyone who says nasty things about this school. I promise you, this school is the most caring, supportive, inspiring place you can send your daughter to. From well trained teachers, to incredible leadership structures and amazing co-curricular activities, this is a school you don't want your daughter to miss out on! I've personally been to many schools before but I believe this school s by far the best:) The best thing about this school is the fact that it cares for the INDIVIDUAL, instead of you being a number. They supply and equip you with the knowledge, values, and confidence to be a positive member of society. If you don't believe me, just go take a look at the school website, attend an open day or talk to some of the past students who have graduated from this school. You will not be disappointed - because Avila is truly an amazing school:)
This school is not the most enjoyable place, its boring the yr 11 corridor looks depressing so does the yr 12 corridor. I have planned to leave this school 3 times but I just stay because of friends. Basically the whole damn school is depressing af. The only good days at the school is when you get to leave for holidays.
Good program and reputation. The students are so welcoming and inclusive and the teachers are so supportive and encouraging. There tons of fantastic opportunities for young girls. A school like no other. So wonderful.
Some reviews online have said that the school is bad. I beg to differ. From a personal perspective and being at this school for a year now, I've seen so much opportunity that comes from this school. The school is only boring when you don't try all the chances you are given.
This school definitely does not spoon-feed you. They strive to make women of tomorrow.
I love this school sooo much I’m coming next year and met so many friends there great opportunity send YOUR GIRL THERE
Would like to have more sporting opportunity, so not one day tournaments but like a term of tournaments, also proper coaches. As when we get into older year levels we dont have prac classes as much:)
A school for girls that don't want to learn and just want to pass the 12 years easy and simple.
I love the look of Avila College and the joyful spirit that is almost overwhelming! Everyone is really friendly there, including most of the teachers. Everyone there from 7-12 studies really hard just like any other school. Avila is also very strong in the Catholic Faith and teachers there to guide students along the path for learning a deeper meaning from the Catholic Bible.
There are also a lot of clubs to do at lunchtime like Music (choir, musical instruments, plus more), Book Club, Debating, Public Speaking, Art Club and more! They also have many sports after school and before school during the Summer and Winter period. Also hundreds of events during a year at Avila that most of the students participate in. I personally think Avila is a great school to educate young women for the future of our world, in such capable hands of the Avila Community.
This school has been the worst school I've been to. I was trying to do unmodified work and my parents got a call from school on the first term, what they said on the call really put down my self-esteem and made me negative. They put in words that I wasn't successful in the unmodified work and told my parents to give me modified work so I could and quote "succeed once in a while". The students are quite inappropriate as well. Some of the teachers and immature and don't understand some peoples emotions. Would not recommend to people with a disorder.
