2023 and we are still using these stupid hour long wait time phone calls with brain dead ATO and MyGov employees.

8 hours of wasted time today trying to fix my account so I can try and do my tax return. I called ATO just for them to tell me to call myGov just for them to tell me to call ATO confusing? Well
That’s just how their system works don’t like it well unfortunate.

Like seriously who the hell are you hiring in that place jesus christ man I had to recall the ATO 3 times MyGov twice with an hour wait time they gave me false information, the whole linking process doesn’t work, and for the love of god don’t get me started with asking these guys for help. They rather talk about stupid personal matters that I truly don’t care about, if they do try to help they have no clue on what they are doing, I end up with zero progress towards fixing my ATO and my myGov account.

Without a doubt cut their pay and hire new people those kids in kindergarten would do a better job than most of you people.
All I want to do is unlink my ATO from someone who stole my details
You think unlinking something like that would be easy but no apparently this task requires intense skill and concentration and the power of Jesus

So if you currently work as an myGov and ATO employee please find another job or create a better system, this ain’t America.

Shocking service is an understatement won’t even give me an option on the phone to speak to someone, or even call someone absolutely no option to speak to someone, would give a 0 star if I could

I rang the ATO today and was lucky to speak to Michelle at the ATO office in Moonee Ponds. I wish to compliment Michelle on her professionalism, cheerful nature and more importantly being knowledgeable which showed in her experience in being able to assist and solve my request.
HR at the ATO - Please ensure staff like Michelle are well looked after as it makes dealing with the ATO a memorable experience

I am going to ride the rails on this particular institution given its already June. Best and see my approval rating late July, not that I could be influenced. Fantastic folk though, many in accounting, specifically.

The security staff here a little on the simple side. You asked them a simple and direct question, and they just give you a blank look before repeating their previous response.
