Australian Pensioner Funerals

We used Australian Pensioner Funerals for my grandmother's funeral. They were amazing and provided outstanding service.

Arianne was our main contact person and was truly wonderful. From the outset, her warmth, kindness, gentleness and compassion were abundant and greatly appreciated. She did everything to ensure that our wishes and ideas were taken into consideration in the planning of the funeral. She was also very helpful and had great suggestions, and was always happy to look into things further and follow things up for us.

She approached every conversation and interaction with care, sensitivity and professionalism, and really took steps to ensure that my grandmother's life was honoured in a special way.

She was also highly organised, diligent, efficient and had excellent communication skills.

Everything was organised seamlessly throughout the process, ensuring that things ran smoothly on the day. We did have one mishap on the actual day (due to someone external), and Arianne and her team dealt with it wonderfully with our family's best interests front of mind.

Our deep gratitude to Arianne and the Australian Pensioner Funerals team for their kindess, compassion and thoughtfulness throughout the process. I would highly recommend them.

Robyn was very kind and patient as she guided me through all the questions and paperwork. On the day we enjoyed a beautiful service and can't thank her enough

Adrian from Australian pensioner funerals managed our father's funeral. He was excellent from start to finish. His kind and compassionate nature made organising the funeral an easy process and our fathers funeral was a beautiful sendoff.

We had a unexpected death right before Christmas. Australian Pensioners Funerals were amazing. David came and met with us, talked through things quickly and easily and we felt very comfortable and cared for. Everything was straight forward and he organised everything and was even able to find very difficult bosun whistles for the funeral. We had three directors on the day and they were all amazing and worked with us to make a beautiful celebration of life. The hearse leaving was done with great respect and David walked the hearse all the way out.
Highly recommend this company and we cannot thank them enough.

David was so amazing throughout the whole planning of my dads service, he went out of his way to comfort us at such a difficult time and we were so grateful to have had him there to support us during this time. Australian Pensioner Funerals organised the funeral for my Father. They were absolutely wonderful, David was kind and considerate, and nothing was too much trouble. The celebrant they provided, Julie Anchen was caring and sensitive, and the whole thing was a beautiful celebration of Dad's life. My parent's had chosen them as part of a pre paid package, and it was just a pleasure dealing with them. They made a highly emotional time easier to bear.

Still shocked and appalled at the service provided by Robyn. She clearly wasn't interested in supporting or helping with any questions I had at our first meeting, I could see her face drop and tone change the moment she figured out I wasn't after a big expensive service. Meeting lasted no more that 8-10mins at the most.

What transpired after that was nothing short of distressing. Personal details for myself and parents were incorrect, BDM followed up with Robyn who after I repeatedly chased her for more updates first became evasive when I started asking questions to then just straight out lied to me repeatedly. In between all of this she decided it was ok to chase me for payment
even though she knew I was waiting on insurance claim for which I needed them to correctly register my mothers death.

By the time she realised she was caught in all of her lies, someone by the name of Steve (never told me what his role is) jumps into the conversation with a half hearted apology and noting that he will have a meeting with Robyn and the team to " see how they can improve so this doesn't happen again"
I would assume you don't need a meeting to remind your employees not to lie or be evassive towards their grieving customers.

8 weeks later I now finally have the correct documentation which should have taken 1-2 weeks.

I would not recommend this company under any circumstances. Multiple breaches of Funerals Act 2006

You're correct, there is no need for your employees to lie to clients but they did. I even sent you evidence.

I'm still waiting on a resolution which I communicated that email would be more appropriate so there is nothing stopping you from contacting me and providing a resolution.

You never actually offered to resolve the issues anyway, outside of holding a meeting with your team so the comment itself is confusing and misleading.

We used Australian Pensioner Funerals for my dad's service. They are very professional and caring. David was fantastic helping us get all the plans done. It made the process for my mum very easy. Can't thank you enough. Very highly recommended.

Adrian was very caring and kind when dealing with my mum's funeral. He looked after everything he needed to and a few extras for us that he wasn't required to. I Would highly recommend APF. I expect I will be organising a pre paid funeral for myself with them.
