Australian Open Tennis Courts reviews
35Get there early. Watch the top players practice on the outside courts then choose your courts. Be prepared to queue and sit in the sun if you want a seat in the popular matches. Facilities and organisation generally very good. Get an arena court if you're here for a few days but only if you want to see the really top players. They're often not the best matches though. Bring your own lunch. Plenty of water fountains. Super
First time at the AO and definitely not the last. The venue is amazing, great facilities, a lot of entertainment, many free things, good food options. My kids had an amazing day, amazing vibes and a lot of fun. If you have kids it’s a great family outing, with the day ground pass you have access to all the enjoyment, you also access to Kia Arena and John Cain Arena for free, the practice courts are a the best way to see your favorite players, and the ballpark is perfect for little ones to blow some (a lot of) steam.
By far the best of all four Grand Slams. Open courts, you can watch the pros up close like nowhere else (literally standing right next to the court without barriers or fences). The tournament where only a day ticket is truly worth it. I had the best tennis experiences of my life there, and the people there are also much friendlier than anywhere else.
Another 5 star performance at the Australian Open, not only by the players but also by the volunteers and the event organisers.
AO this year wasn't the best experience. The final Margaret court arena entertainment was awful! People got up and left after complaining. No where near as good as 2019! Ruined the experience. Over priced drinks all over. Some of the food in food waggons was awful. But a fun day out. Lots of activities to watch.and a couple of things to get involved in on days other than the finals.
First time going to the AO in 23. Food was amazing. Heaps of hydration stations for those hot days. Surprisingly a lot to do if you only get the ground pass during the first week. Saw a few top ranked players in ground pass access areas. Massive area to eat and drink under a shady spot and can watch the games on massive screens. Would highly recommend for any tennis fans. Even casuals. Great for families too as there is a play area for the kids across certain parts of the venue.
Outstanding event. Starting to mix sports and politics not a good mix. How Russian and Belarus tennis players are to blame for there country's disgraceful leaders is beyond me. Being made to play under no flag sounds like a dictatorship in itself think about it.
The booking team was incredibly helpful so was and the cleaning crew on the day of the cleaning
I have been to the French Open and Wimbledon that's Melbourne park is by far the best a lot more space more courts and can go for more cost of course very easily on top of it three of the main arena are covered and you can move by staying indoor
Novak is the best, The team that manages the functioning of assistants on the field is too rude to the players and too rude towards Novak Djokovic. And that's why they should be punished.
A special thank you to Michael, who offered brilliant customer service. Always direct, fast to reply and very understanding, Michael was a pleasure to deal with.
Shame, Shame, shame not celebrating Australia day, but you call it the AUSTRALIA OPEN, DISGRACE!
The AO 2023 looks spectacular. Great outdoor entertainment, with incredible views of the Melbourne CBD framing the courts. It's sure to be one of the events of the year. The story starts here!
Great venue to watch some great tennis, we haven't been for twenty years it really was a great day out. We watched about 8 matches so great value for money. The only problem we found was lack of food and variety, plenty bars for drinking only, that was disappointing no wonder audiences getting rowdy and drunk
A really terrifically run tennis tournament, with an huge emphasis on being patron friendly. Many interesting places to eat and drink (not inexpensive!), lots to do and see, staff helpful and knowledgeable. It’s a joy to visit from start to finish
A must experience event!
Lucky to be able to book a ticket in Rod Laver Arena and watched Federer, Nadal, Osaka, S. Williams play live! ️
The Australian Open has been one of the best sports events I have experience until today. The organisation was amazing and the atmosphere incredible. 100% recommended.
Amazing place to be. The vibes you get during the Australian Open is just outta this world. It feels like a party in the park outside the Rod Laver Arena. The cafes serve some really nice mini pizzas and the AO souvenir shop had heaps of products sold. Amazing experience, definitely left me wanting for more.
Had a great night at the men’s finals 2020. Great match and amazing atmosphere. Great afternoon wandering around the grounds. Amazing lunch at Barilla pasta.
A great venue for a fantastic competition. We had a great time at the 2020 AO. You can see very well from just about everywhere in the Rod Laver arena or you can just buy a day pass and sit on the grass and watch on the big screen. Great atmosphere with loads of helpful volunteers everywhere.
