I'm just glad to see an Australian Post outlet open as so many of them are closing! I've brought the basics here and renewed drivers license here but it's all the non traditional stuff I like. What a whacky range of things they sell just like tge middle aisle of Aldi! So visit to get your basics, pay bills etc but yes there are often queues so just be patient you'll get there.

My experience with this post office is worst of all the post offices I have had service from. They are scam in disguise, it’s awful. Try to avoid this post office. I have sent an Express post and they kept the parcel in their post office for three days.

This place is a joke. With some slow and opinionated people, particularly one of them. For passport, I recommend to stay away from this place.

Loveliest staff! I’ve been to many other post offices and this is the best by far. Didn’t expect staff to be this nice considering that it is australia post.

Worst experience ever. Waiting in line for 30 minutes. People in front have complained and held the line up, some lady cut her ear taking an earring off for a passport and made a scene. This place is a joke, you can’t make this up. Go to any other PO in the area to save yourself the hassle of going to this dump. 1 star is generous. It deserves 0

Staff here don't even try to move fast. Three staff serving and was in line for 15 minutes with only 3 customers in front of me. Did not move at all. Staff moving slow as snails when they can see a big line.

Yes there is usually a queue at this post office but its due to the customer service staff answering all of the customer questions - I have waited some times where customers were asking staff to complete forms and pack their parcels for them!
I have been going to this post office for over 20 years and have never had any issues - advice has always been good and the manager always goes above and beyond to help, often suggesting how I can save money and use different postal services.

Waited in the queue this morning and then when it was my turn instead of greeting me abruptly asked me whether or not I was waiting in the queue. I said yes, she says 'I didn't see you, did you push in front of the older lady? ' I explained I was waiting in the queue like everyone else, and didn't jump in front of anyone, said 'Just making sure to be fair to every body'.
What the hell?

Some staff are rude, one lady in particular.

There is always a line.

Very inefficient processes in which staff fail to use their initiative, I mean waiting for the customer to write out 5 addresses on an envelope while everyone else is waiting- come on.

There are usually 2-3 agents and 2 of them are always with customers for 5 mins plus.

Staff never prompt customers to use the Self check-out machines.

One one occasion a staff member became disgruntled, as she asked me how I would pay- I said electronic, tap on the phone. She then told me for this transaction, passports, I need to use card or a cash. Well a phone is an electronic card, further more I did say I would pay by tapping my phone. She was quite rude about it.

If you are in a rush, avoid this place at all costs.

The most unprofessional and uneducated Australia post I have ever been to. They will try to scam you into paying more it’s happened now 4 times - and once you point out you’re being charged $5-10 more than you should be: you’re left to wait 9-15minutes for them to start all over again.with out an apology.

Rude staff members, with a pre paid printed label told that I was unable to send and required to pay 25 dollars, then went to an alternate auspost and had no issues.

Absolutely rude and non cooperative ladies. Jacque and her colleague. Made me take 4 rounds to submit documents and harassed me in the pandemic. Gave wrong information and aus post should get rid of such frustrated employees. Disgusting

Nick helped us a lot to lodge a child passport application. Neither we had to go back and re-print the form, nor needed a new guarantor's signature. It was a great service on Sunday.

This review relates to Nick, the manager of the store. He is highly unprofessional, unhelpful and rude.

We attended this morning wanting to collect an overseas parcel but have been refused. We have presented tracking number, screenshots, text massage notifying the pick up, ID, Australia Post account and bank account showing both Chinese name and English name, but these
were not good enough for Nick. We have previously collected many parcels from other Australia Post stores, but never had the same issue and no one ever mentioned that there
would be any issues.

Nick went inside to make a call and just left us unattended for 30 minutes. No one could tell us how long we need to wait for and we had no choice but to leave for other appointments. We did not have any opportunity to discuss any alternative solutions.

The whole experience was frustrating and unpleasant. We would highly recommend people to use other stores who are more considerable and courteous.

Further Update

We did our own research online and went in the next day with more supporting documentation. The solution is actually very simple, and we didn’t understand why Nick made it so difficult for us.

As soon as Nick saw us, without seeing our documents or letting us to speak, he yelled over the counter “I won’t give the parcel to you unless you change your name on your ID! ” Excuse me? We have to change our legal name on ID in order to collect a parcel?

Although we got the Parcel eventually (after all these unpleasant dealing with Nick and the time wasted), during the whole time, Nick tried to make us feel like we have done something wrong and he tried to teach us a lesson. He was very personal and insulting. He never used any words like “please or thank you” but always points his finger at us while talking and tell us “you have to. ”

In the end Nick said “Feel free to make a complaint, this won’t get me into trouble. ” Shocking arrogance.

We will never never use the Southland Australia Post again. It’s enough to deal with someone like Nick once in your life.

Thank you Stephen for being so patient and understanding and taking new pictures when my mum and I weren’t 100% on our passport photos! We felt a bit silly, but he reassured us that he was there to help. 10/10 customer service!

Got Key Pass done here. Open on Saturday untill 2pm. Express for $10 gets you Key Pass in a week. Great staff:)

Finally got my passport done. No need to make appointment. The staff are super efficient and friendly. Best place for passport.
