The following is my opinion and experience. I found the female staff member rudely ignored me when I said hi many times. I think she displayed unethical behaviour, by taking off my screen protector which I paid $10 then giving me a "discount" for an overpriced screen protector, and not refunding me the $10. I went here twice and both times she could not put on the screen protector properly, yet she took the first one off as though I didn't pay for it. My opinion is that she's a sociopath that will do anything just to make money. I think this place should be shut down permanently and reported. I think they make a business out of scamming people.

Please be aware. I have been back to this store three times, on my weekends off. I went to get my battery replaced here for my iPhone, and something that should’ve been functional has been a disaster. The first time I got it replaced, my phone’s battery life was actually worse. Upon returning for the second time, I was refused a refund by the manager, who was incredibly incompetent, and unwilling to help me; she blamed me for the performance of the battery. Mind you, the battery was two weeks old? I even kept a log of the depleting battery life as proof that I was genuine. She then finally agreed to replace the battery, and not even 24 hours later, I noticed that there was no difference in performance, even though I was a told it was a ‘new battery’. On my third visit, I was so disheartened and disappointed that all I wanted was my money back. Instead, my $85 dollar refund was reduced to $40, because there was now a $45 labour fee, which I was not told of. We then went to the Apple Store to have the phone properly inspected, only to be told that the display had been tampered with, and that both the display and battery were not feasible to repair. It seems rather coincidental, that having been back a third time to this retailer, my phone now has a damaged display. Moral of the story: avoid this store and you'll avoid disappointment.

Got a screen protector installed 5 days back and the sides are already loosening and bubbles are under it. Hasn't been dropped and there's not a scratch on it. Spoke to the woman there and she said she can't do anything. Her excuse was that the phone cover was pushing on it even though it's an ottetbox cover made that's been certified by Samsung itself and she can clearly see that it doesn't even touch the edges of the protector. Avoid.

Having problem with the screen protector, and tried going there twice to replace it to be met with an employee who is sitting on their phone with no response to me. It took multiple ‘hellos’ to get her attention, and even after explaining the problem with the screen protector that happens occasionally and just blames it on the phone being broken, even though before the replaced screen protector the phone worked how it should.

Bought new phone:) Went to get a screen protector. Staff put screen protector on top of existing screen protector making my new phone unusable. Thanks for advising me to spend $45 on a product I did not need.
Another store kindly fixed your error. Terrible service and poor business model.

Quoted a price then caused damage during repair and doubled the price.

They use the cheapest screen protectors that will bubble and pull away, they won't even last a few weeks.

Do not take your item for repair here. They have no idea what they are doing. I brought an iPad Air 3 in for screen repair on 6 August at the Southland store. The people there said no problem, come back in 2 hours.

I did and they told me they didn’t have the correct screen for it so used a different screen- crack still visible and lit should work’.

A week later, the button is non responsive because of the incorrect screen.

I was never asked if the alternative screen would be acceptable.

Contacted the store, no response. Have contacted Consumer Affairs.

WOW! Great customer service i had my iPhone 11 fixed here under 20 minutes very quick, i am really surprised, Really Recommended.

SHONKY AS THEY COME! Screen protector on two phones started lifting off, would not stand by there SHONKY product or service. DO NOT GO THERE!

South land store has the worst customer service I have ever seen in Australia, my phone screen did not work after having it fixed by them and all I ask Was for them to have a second look at it and straight away the lady said that I was out of line for coming back and I was lying about my phone not working which makes no sense to why I would waste my time if my phone was working fine when I asked her to please listen to me while I explained what was happening she laughed at me and start talking in Hindi to her co worker I tried to call the store owner so I could try and resolve the issue and of cause to reply Don’t trust these people

Southland staff are rude. Considering shops like these are a dime a dozen in large shopping centres, I was happy to take my money upstairs!

Replaced screen, didn’t know how to reset phone properly.said it was a motherboard issue, would give me a quote. I felt uncomfortable, took my phone else where, they told me to reset it. I did, fixed.would never go to gsm again.be careful.repair shop opposite apple way better!

Had them put on a screen protector for my Samsung GS7 and they would not replace it when it was put on wrong and started peeling 3 days later

Really bad screens, wouldn't recommend getting your phone screen fixed here. GSM Southland fixed my screen after I shattered it, however, the screen they put on it didn't work. It was intermittently unresponsive and had false touch. I went back and showed them a video of the phone not working, they said the screen might've been faulty so they changed it again. It still didn't work, I went back again and told a guy I hadn't dealt with before what had been happening. The guy was really not happy with this, he rudely told me to come back in 30 minutes so that he could change it again. When I came back he didn't speak to me or look at me, instead he had another employee hand me the phone. I have multiple videos showing the false touch, unresponsiveness, and showing the screen scrolling without me even touching it. Don't go here, it's a waste of money!
