Johnny was very attentive at the beginning of the job. He was the most expensive of all the quotes we recceived, 7k, but also seemed to be the most thorough in our discussions.
Johnny did not complete the grout on the laundry and in parts of the kitchen. Johnny also did not resolve moving tiles in the hallway. Johnny has recieved all of his payment excluding $350 remaining and he has been MIA since July 2021. Johnny does not respond to texts, phone calls or requests to complete the tiling work. He broke one of the vacuum cleaners we owned as he used it to clean tiling dust.
Johnny charged us for a skip bin but he used his mates trailer to remove some of the debris left over from the removal. We had to clean up the rest.
We have tried to reason and be flexible with Johnny and he will not return to finish the work after he pleaded with us for the last 2k of progressive payment which unfortunately I did pay to him with full confidence that he would meet his obligation. It was a dire mistake and I do regret making this payment prior to the work being finished. We are now seeking resolution through VCAT and the ACCC.

What started as a really exciting bathroom (x2) renovation, with the opportunity to work with a highly skilled tiler according to reviews, has ended with me paying full price (plus a little more in good faith due to the extra time Johnny took to finish a job he quoted on) for unfinished and faulty bathrooms.

I had been willing to overlook the fact the the fall on the floors has not been correctly implemented, resulting in water pooling to the side of the drain. And the fact the he glued the drain excessively, so it cannot be opened for cleaning. And the fact that the pattern of the tiles was ‘broken’ on one small wall.

But what I cannot overlook is that when alerted to the fact that in one bathroom in particular the grout was not of the correct consistency, resulting in it turning to mud when it gets wet, Johnny has done a runner (after first blaming me). Every attempt to organise for it to be remediated has been met with a deferral, and now silence.
Even dry it comes off at the touch of a finger.
He did not finish the siliconing I have paid for.

I will now need to get a new tiler in to fix the mistakes and finish the job.

So disappointed. The reviews have not matched my lived experience.

Contacted Johnny after seeing the 5 star reviews on here. Did not want to leave a poor review but it’s been several months now and the job paid for is not complete. Grout colour doesn’t match, fine. Grout not being sealed, not fine and the grout colour runs muddy every time the shower is used. Grout is beginning to wear down around the drain already and its only been 6 months. Made contact 13/12/21 to get in touch with me, no response. Hope Johnny is ok.

Johnny did a great job, so honest and respectful he did care too much about our bathroom water leaking explained everything. We are so happy with the result. Highly recommend

Johnny provided a wonderful service. He re-grouted two bathrooms and replaced tiles in one shower floor and on my verandah. I was not in Melbourne when he did the works and he sent me progressive photos of what he completed and Facetimed with me to ensure that I was happy with what he was doing. He is meticulous and strives to achieve the best possible outcome. I highly recommend Johnny.

Had a wonderful experience renovating full bathroom. We received 3 quotes and we decided to go with Johnny, he came out and spent a good 40 minutes and spoke about all the options available. He delivered and now we have a fantastic bathroom. Thank you Johnny.

Great work done by Johnny. He had a challenge and he completed it with all our great ideas and his great ethics. He is a professional and completed the tiling of four different tiles in One design. Always open to ideas and he is always giving us good ideas and how to improve on his own techniques. He is a perfectionist when it comes to tiling. We have had lovely conversations with him and he has done an amazing tiling work in our house including the pier caps. Good and great tiler to work with. I would highly recommend him as I had two other tilers who were not up to the mark.
He has loved the food and conversations we have had with him.

Johnny presented very warm and friendly and performed the job with respect and professionalism. He showed good insight into what tiles to use and how to lay them for best effect. I renovated an old 80's bathroom and despite some challenges with awkward corners and surfaces, he's pulled off a nice looking job. Tile lines are perfectly straight and the gap between the tiles are nice and tight. When you talk to him you will understand and feel the same amount of trust in his craft. I will be definitely calling on him again.

Johnny did a fantastic tiling job in our bathroom, laundry and kitchen. He works hard to satisfy the customer and achieve a nice end result. He’s great at his job and also a really nice guy. Definitely recommend Johnny! Every other tradesperson that comes to our home for other jobs always comment on how good the tiling job is.
