Aunty Jacks

Had an amazing experience at Aunty Jack's today.
I heard about this place from the resort we're staying at (Wyndham Ballarat) and made a booking for lunch.
The service is exceptional, the food is delicious (I had the prawn pizza & my partner had the Jack's burger). We decided to try a tasting paddle and the beers were good, and a little different.
The atmosphere is fun and unique.
Thank you everyone at Aunty Jack's for a wonderful and memorable experience.
We will definitely be back when next in Ballarat

The uper quirky interior with brewing equipment scattered around was just lovely. Food was exceptional, surpassed only by their award winning beers. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Ballarat.

I should have known better. A place that does not display drink prices anywhere is normally a place I would steer clear of but due to the reviews here I decided to try this place.
We went on a Thursday and according to the menu it was Pints at Pot prices. My partner and I had a pint each and then I proceeded to pay the bill. I paid it and we left but then I thought it seemed a bit pricey paying 28.80 for 2 beers. We went back and queried the price. At first I was told it was correct and when I asked about the " Pint for a Pot price "I was told " that only applied if I asked for it when you ordered"
I said she had to be joking. I was given a $14 refund.
I wonder if all the other specials on the menu only apply if you ask when ordering? I left with a bad taste in my mouth after a nice beer.
Maybe they should change their name to " hop thief" lol
The staff are friendly but I think this sort of thing stinks!

Visiting Ballarat for the first time and wanted to try something different. Staff were very informative on helping to choose which beers to try for a tasting paddle, service was quick with quality food and the place has an awesome vibe you could hang around for.

Amazing vintage/ industrial dacor with lots off plants! Starting from the huge front door to the retro handbasins, I loved everything

Walked into Auntie Jacks Saturday night and asked the door person for a table. Mentioned we had a member of our party that had sensory issues, and could we have a quieter table. The maitre d' walked off and asked another waiter for help, they then turned down the music on the mezzanine floor and then walked around listening to figure out which table was the quietest before asking us up.
Very cool of them, made the entire experience fun for our entire party.

Went late for a birthday dinner and the staff were all very kind and accommodating. Great food and atmosphere.

Such a cool atmosphere and definitely a go to if visiting ballarat.we were served by kelly who was absolutely lovely and we both loved our meals! The beers are also great!

Hands down some of the best food ever to be consumed combined with second to none service
We ordered the fried calamari, lamb skewers & pork cutlet between two of us. Ample food.
The selection of beers is great too as to be expected from a brewpub & the atmosphere of this place was so cool as soon as you walk in on the left is a beautiful fire place going and one wall with old radios and suitcases

A fantastic pub with cool decor and great food and drinks. We went on a Thursday, so it was buy 1 pint get one free! Oysters were great. Lamb pizza was great. The crab and prawn pasta was “the best pasta I’ve had in 10 years” according to my partner The bill was also very reasonable for how full we left the place.

My gosh this place has gotten so much better. Awesome food and actual nice staff! Was here a while ago and staff were awful, didn't want to come back tonight but agreed to give it another chance. Shout out to Mary, Eva and Josh. We will be back for the beef Wellington!

Great opportunity to learn about craft brewing and taste some of Ballarats finest foods as well. Well done to the team at AJ's and particularly to Shaz who shared her knowledge with us on brewing

Love the eccentric decor, casual environment and friendly service with amazing flavourful vegetarian dishes.

Great experience from booking to leaving. Terrific service, friendly, attentive and professional. Food is served in good time so you can trust to eat and have a drink without a long wait. Good atmosphere. Will return!

Great beer, great music, great vibes. Definitely recommend a pale ale in their eclectic atrium in the winter sunshine

Aunty Jack is the place you all need to go and not just once but several times simply to enjoy the amazing service, food, beer and cocktails and an atmosphere that is something else. 5 Stars for plum pudding ice cream - delicious

What a funky place to go chill after work! Loved the relaxed vibe and the food was top notch! Staff were friendly and available all the time! Loved it!

We've been regulars at Aunty Jacks since its opening and always have a great time. We love the beautifully prepared food, the friendly service and fantastic beers brewed on the premises. Whenever we have visitors, Aunty Jacks is the place we always take them for a special Ballarat experience.
