Au79 Cafe reviews
29I ordered a juice called cold defense, and i asked for NO GINGER.i repeated this three times to the guy cause he wasn't getting it for some reason.mind you i was just ordering 2 juices & 1 long black and what he got was 2 long black and 1 juice? Also 15 mins later my iced long black came but the juice isnt here yet.we called the guy who took our order and he looked like he didnt put our juice in the order system. 5 mins later the juice came with ginger, and the SAME GUY was the one who brought it.obviously we had to complain to other workers that wasnt the one who took our order, and another 5 mins passed with our correct juice orders at our table.i dont get whats so hard with " 2 cold defense juice with no ginger ". It took us 4 tries to get out order right.p. S.the rest of the workers were fine, this was just one guy but it was actually FRUSTRATING because it was such a hastle getting juice.
I have never really seen this place before although I have been in emporium quite a lot. Today I decided to try something new and give it a go and I’m so glad I did. The service was great, so attentive and friendly. I felt very comfortable as a lone diner. I ordered a chai latte and the chilli scramble and it was absolutely delicious! The eggs were cooked so well and the flavours all were perfect together. I mean I’m no food critic but I’d definitely come back just for that. The food came out really quickly as well which was really nice. Overall a really positive experience and next time I’m in the city I’ll have to bring some family here to try the rest of the menu!
Everything sure looks delicious but the $15 price tag on the little cakes will leave a sour taste in your mouth
Modern cafe with clean lines, nestled on L3 of Emporium. Menu is Asian fusion based - interesting options like prawn benedict. I had the poached eggs with pumpkin bread and a side of sauteed greens - which happened to be kale. Really delicious, and I don’t even like kale. My friend had the croissant with ham. She said it’s one of the best she’s eaten in a while Good coffee too!
Decor of the restaurant was stunning and elegant. I ordered the waffle. Which was lovely and fresh with the fruits. A tad overpriced but overall great experience!
Very enjoyable experience. It was pretty quiet when I visited, no waiting needed, though it can get quite busy on weekends. Service was very fast and the brunches were delicious! Interior decor was very cute too
Food is good, a little more pricey than standard brunch spots as serving sizes are quite small
This café was good for a quick bite on a Sunday mid-shopping. We had a watermelon juice each and enjoyed the salmon and pea risotto and seafood linguine. Staff were friendly and prompt but it wasn't very busy at the time we visited. Serving sizes are not huge.
They took over 50 mins to serve our food and tried to say that we had only been waiting 20 minutes. It was pretty obvious that they had forgotten the order as things only happened when we asked the staff about it and at that point they realised that something we ordered was not available anymore. One of the staff came over and just said "20 minutes" after we said we had been waiting 40 minutes. I wouldn't recommend if you want don't feel like waiting a while for your food or being gaslight by the staff.
Only bought the coffee here which was terrible. Ordered soy cappuccino with extra shot, it was watery and way too hot. It’s a lovely spot but won’t be going back anytime soon.
Looks nice from the outside, but that's all, nothing special. Go if you like, but dont expect anything
The blonde girl was so nice when she took our order. She also gave us a recommendations for dessert. She completely made our experience at AU79. Lovely service.
Busy little store.
Coffee Luke warm, main meal was more like entree size. Nice but small.
Go again, sure
I recently visited AU79 cafe, and I had a wonderful experience. I ordered the Chocolate Croissant and Egg on Toast for breakfast, and a Latte to drink. The food was good. The croissant and egg on toast was goodas well - the croissant was buttery and flaky. The latte was creamy and flavorful. The service was also great - the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a good experience at AU79 cafe and would definitely recommend it to others to try.
Just a normal brunch place at the most convenient location. Coffee’s just normal, food’s great, and customer service is not too great since most staffs seems rather fed up with the crowds. Don’t blame the staffs for feeling sick of us, but it sure feels uncomfortable when they get snappy when we asked for salt and pepper since the food’s bland without salt whilst we have no salt on the table ️ sorry for asking for salt, but I don’t think we deserve that snappy attitude? Also, lack of common sense among staffs. You don’t interrupt your customers when they’re in the middle of taking pictures. It’s awkward and rude.
Coffee is lukewarm and not as creamy as cappuccinos. The duck leg meal is not bad, the sauce is bit too sweet. $28 The serving of Calamari is not big unfortunately. $22
Pretty good overall! The big breakfast wasn’t worth it as the hash brown was soggy and only came with four sides. But the mango mousse waffle was perfect:) speed of service was great too.
Food was extremely underwhelming. I ordered a big breakfast - it is best described as a plate of GREASE. The sausage was burnt while the rest of the sides tasted greasy and overly salty. It would have been better with a side of salad.
The iced latte was mediocre. There are better cafes in the vicinity.
The service was disappointing as well. It’s hard to get the staff’s attention and they were inflexible with the ordering (e.g. Requesting to trade bacon for something else?)
I won’t be back.
Best atmosphere. Amazing blueberry tart. Loved the croissant and coffee. Friendly staff. One of my fav cafes for the peaceful upscale vibe.
So bad now! Used to be my favourite place and I often go here and bring my friends. BUT! 2 weeks ago i waited for an hour fot my food and drinks. Didn’t get at least 1 of it. Apparently they forgot to place my order. It was busy so i let it slipped. Then again today, I went back. Was not busy and not full at all. Ordered for a mug of hot drink and they gave me the mug, no saucer no teaspoon, had to ask for it. Then, I ordered the risotto and didn’t even got me some salt and pepper? I would expect this in a small local cafe but not a restaurant inside a luxury mall. Food is still good but don’t expect good service. Staff walks around constantly looking like busy but I don’t know. I’m hating this place.
