Au79 Cafe

I had the iced matcha latte and to date it's the weakest matcha drink I've ever had. The drink itself shouldn't have a pronounced slightly sweet dairy taste with afternotes of matcha and a pale pastel green colour. It didn't help with the ice cubes melting fast, hence diluting the drink more than it already needed to be.

I am unsure if they had used a sweetened matcha power blend or a pre made matcha concentrate. I am saying this as the cafe 'Little Rogue' in the CBD is well known for its matcha beverages for on par similar pricing of its matcha drinks.

In all saying this, the employee on the till showed proper hospitality and he looked like he wanted to be there. Staff were friendly and the service was great.

They're rip off, out of all cafes in northland they're the only one who sale their muffins for 6$ each which is nothing special about their muffins they're doughy and stale

Why? For an espresso drinker, that's a rip off and the fact that the owner arrogantly dismissed my question, is why i give it one star. Mate, your coffee could be the best in the world (which it isn't), shotty service like that overrides everything else.

They make marvellous coffees here. They also have a little seating area if you want to sit and relax for a coffee break.

My order was left on counter. I had to go to counter and ask. The person serving was sullen and did not apologise

Very nice coffee and matcha latte. Staff are super busy, but consider good service in such a busy major shopping centre. Table is not very clean, but acceptable. Few sofa seats at this small cafe. Plenty of parking at this shopping centre.

Really nice coffee, they work well under the pump. Will drop back in next time I’m there. Kudos to the team!

They serve consistently great coffee and everyone there is always so friendly.

The coffee here is really good, just ordered and oat matcha, barista put in 3 taps of powder (red flag), the drink was sooo sweet so the powder obviously has sugar in it. Would be way better as pure matcha with the option of sugar… I had to chuck it out, and it was $5.80!

Shout out to Jackie (Jack) who entertained my picky coffee order; as it was late in the day I wanted the fully intense taste of a double shot large flat white and yet half the caffeine content. Jack did awesome job.

Got 2 Iced coffees for me and my partner after a long day of shopping, Was soooo on point. The shot of coffee itself was really amazing and the icecream quality was really nice as well which was much apriectiated.
On top of that the staff there are really friendly and professional.
That's my go to coffee break at Northland.
