"It seems like I experienced racism and discrimination due to my accent and not-so-fluent English! Just a minute ago, the waiter spoke with another table, took their orders while holding something, but they had an Aussie accent! " I had a terrible experience in Southbank one. If you want a kicking out from a cafe do not stop, you can go this cafe and have a worse experience ever! I went there today around 12.30 pm and the waitress with gray sweater kick me out with no reason! I ve just said: excuse me can i order? And he was like: no you cant you have to wait until i am free. And i said ofcourse i can wait, but why that attitude? And then he said i cant serve you, you have to leave! Is it normal? There was no one to complain or speak about this issue! You can watch the cameras that i set down and 2 minutes later i ve been kicking out! Maybe my english is not perfect but i was kind. "Insisting on placing an order aside, I didn't even mention the possibility of ordering for the second time! I sat down, spotted a waiter, and asked, 'Excuse me, can i order? ' I was met with a very rude attitude! "

This use to be an amazing place but it looks like it has changed owners.the food is still great but atmosphere needs to be improved

I ate at the Chadstone cafe. Food was very tasty but way overpriced, I had the avocado on toast with a side of bacon added. Avo on toast $21, Bacon $6. This cost me $27. I won't be coming back purely based on price.

Thoroughly enjoyed their seafood linguine, the portion was quite large. The spinach & feta danish & the almond croissants were quite crispy too.

AU79 chadstone is my new favourite cafe. Crispy zucchini, corn fritter was amazing with pickled onions and dukkah spice, eggs were perfect. Coffee just right. My second visit in less than a week I’ll be back again!

Okay it’s a pretty decent cafe. Staff are good.

Don’t expect salt and pepper on your table - it’s only given to you if you manage to find a busy waitress and ask.

Extremely loud music and bad place to have a chat. Coffee is good, but food was ordinary. Had the prawn benedict: frozen prawns, average portion, eggs were fine.

Lovely staff who are always very helpful for mums with prams! Thank you! Great food and coffee.

Au79 CHADSTONE review (New one) :

5/5 for coffee - Perfect taste. The taste is not overwhelming, but leaves a delicate aftertaste.

Service was really good - Barista Isaac was very engaging and friendly, making the experience more enjoyable.
The takeaway cup design is also gorgeous, felt sad throwing it out.

Very spacious venue at Chadstone shopping centre / opposite MJ Bale.

Will provide an updated review with food in the upcoming weeks!

Went there tor brunch, after hearing and expecting a lot from such venue…

The ambiance is beautiful with all the plants, however the staff was very rude, most of them.
Coffee was just average.
Ordered vegetarian big breakfast because the staff refused to switch bacon and chorizo for us in the normal bog t which is absurd on its own, but the vegetarian big brekkie was below than average. Very simply put with not nicely down mushrooms n veggie, moreover presentation would be a total 0 score.
Lastly, the menu is very limited, and way too overpriced for the simplest items.

Horrible service. Waited 20 mins to get a glass of water and nothing after that. Walked off as there were none to serve.

Fantastic atmosphere inside (not that we've been allowed to enjoy it lately).

Everyone here is so friendly! They always get out of their way to provide outstanding service plus their bread and coffee are delicious! Highly recommend

Very friendly staff, huge seating area, on site roastery, bakery, patisserie, chocolatier as well as function space. I am a huge fan of Benedict and their Prawn Benedict was great except the yolk wasn’t flowing out, missing out on an instagram video. The seafood linguine was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it. We have also tried their turmeric almond latte, is not everyone’s cup of tea. Pay with liven for great discounts.

Nice weekend bbq and did really like the espresso tonic for something completely different and refreshing

Friendly service, pleasing space. However, it won’t be a space we like to be in for long because of the loud acoustics. Our chai and coffee were flavoursome. The vegan hot dog was tasty but rather odd in a brioche bun and the tart tasted mainly of sugar. The food in general was much sweeter and costly than I anticipated. We’ll be sticky to just the drinks next time.

Love this place, whether for brunch when Melbourne is not in lockdown, or for their bread and choice of pastries. I had their flan today and it was incredible! Coming from France, what a delight to enjoy such delicious pastries in Australia

One of the best cafes around the area. The ambient is beautiful, their house grind coffee and seasonal menu are absolutely delicious. Love their seasonal truffle menu! Perfect place for an afternoon break, dating and gathering!

Coffee is seriously the best I have ever had, and the food is ridiculously amazing. The venue is absolutely stunning and the staff are really nice. I have to come back, it's a must!
