Common facilities, like their internet and communal areas could be better, faster and cleaner. But the biggest problem at this dorm is the property manager. Extremely rude and condescending, tries to talk about personal matters, straight-up insults the tenants, and lies to international students in order to threaten them. Completely ruined the experience and stay at this place. Abusing what little authority you have is not a good look.

Even the most basic regular payment system often has problems. The rent was transferred in the morning, but still deduct my money directly from my bank card in the afternoon (fortunately I set the payment limit and the deduction failed). And some of the staff have a bad attitudes.

I booked to stay short-term and customer service was so bad. I had a 6 am Melbourne flight and waited until after 3 pm to get a room, so I was extremely tired and frustrated, but I received an empty room (no pillow or bed coversheet or cutlery). There were 2 receptionists and they were super nice, but they could not solve this problem and kept typing or searching for something on the computer. I said I wanted to cancel my booking, and there was another Asian guy (I guess he is the manager or supervisor on that shift), he accepted directly with no hesitation, and he did not say an apology or anything to me. After more than 1 week, i have not received refund from them, so i emailed and they said they did not see any refund request even I filled out refund form before leaving. If I don't email them, so I will never receive my money because my refund request is gone. Now I have to wait 2 more week to wait for my money. If you stay long-term, it may be great, but it's not the same when staying short-term.

The management here is not good. What happened with me is, I forgot to pay the rent and the lady at the reception, named CECILIA was printing the rent statement for me, when she was handling the statement to me, she said, ''I hope you get a job so that you can pay the rent'', that is the worst customer service i have ever had. It was a low blow from her side.
Another thing, I had to change my apartment because in Atira they have something called Air con alarm, so whenever i used to use the air con, there was a noise which was similar to the fire alarm. It is Atira's mistake that they put me in an apartment where I cannot use the air con, to fix that mistake, Atira provided me a better room with the same price, which is good from their side, but now after 2 months CECILIA, the customer service lady at the reception is asking me to pay the fees for cleaning, even though when I was changing ATIRA'S STAFF CHECKED THE APARTMENT AND TOLD ME I DON'T NEED TO PAY THE FINE! WHAT IS WRONG WITH CECILIA I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

I am in love with Atira’s environment friendly indoor design, unlimited wifi and AC, parcel&letter services, 24-hour protection after move-in, can make bookings for second person. My experience of booking short stay for my parents with Cecilia was effortless thank you!

Highly recommend Atira because it offers a package that includes rental fees as well as utilities like water, gas Wifi and electricity A/C.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed my stay at Atira Peel Street so far. It’s my second year here and I love everything from my room to the facilities and all the friendly people I’ve met! Rent isn’t cheap but considering the utility expenses factored in plus all the great community events it’s pretty worth it!

The only negative experiences I’ve had mainly involved a voucher I didn’t get to claim due to a condition that wasn’t communicated during promotions of the campaign and some payment charging discrepancies that my friends faced when they cancelled their contracts during COVID. It would be nice if there was more transparency and empathy in the handling of these issues.

But overall, Atira is what I call home here in Melbourne ️

I've been staying at Atira for a few months and the staff have been nothing but amazing, especially Scotty. The place is well maintained and they care about each of the tenant's physical and mental well-being. Honestly, the only criticism is the price. However, if you can afford it, I highly recommend.

For students like me who are living away from home for the first time, this can certainly help to simplify my life and lower down my Newbie stress level!

I have been staying at Atira peel st for about 18 months and it has been a home away from home. The comfort of the rooms, safety and close proximity to university is a bonus.
The friendly and welcoming nature of the staff is makes you feel at ease. Especially, Scott who has been helpful in so many ways and goes out of his way for the residents. The events organised by the RA are thoughtful and provide a great opportunity to meet other students while engaging in meaningful activities. The stunning views of the city from the rooftop are to die for for.

Overall I’d highly recommend future students to consider Atira as it is beyond compare.

Great facilities. Rooms were quite small and expensive but the staffs here are great, especially Cecilia. She was helpful, friendly and postitive.

The staff are super friendly and if you want some advice or someone to talk to, they are always there to help. The student resident assistants (RAs) are kind and incredibly inviting; they plan a wide range of activities that occur on a weekly basis, such as movie nights and outings, which you can join if you wish to.

I highly recommend Atira if you are looking for a room with wood flooring and air conditioning, that is in close proximity to tram stops (Route 58,19,59) and universities. It is currently my second year here and I am extending my contract into the next year. This speaks for itself.

I moved here in March, and it’s been a wonderful experience so far. The management and RAs create a very inclusive environment with events every week. They go above and beyond to make sure that the residents are comfortable. A big shoutout to Scott, Sapphire and James.
It’s a great place to enjoy student life. It’s a stone’s throw away from UniMelb, with the tram stop right outside the building.
Personally, I enjoy the view of the city from the rooftop the most.

Atira Peel St is located right next to the University of Melbourne and also conveniently close to the CBD! Room prices are reasonable with all inclusive rent. Student ambassadors organise enjoyable weekly events and they're also super friendly!

I have met amazing staff and friends during my stay. (Especially Scott who looked after me and my friend). I will definetely be extending my stay for the upcoming year!

I’ve stayed in Atira for more than 6 months now, I would say that it has been an amazing experience and memorable stay for me so far! Student ambassadors here are so friendly and welcoming, they always have fun activities (including free food) for us!

Moved here January 2020. The facilities are top notch and throughout covid the staff have been incredibly supportive and the well being of all residents staying here has been their first priority.

It’s been amazing living here so far. It’s near to uni and pretty connected to all the awesome places! The facilities are great. We got unlimited WiFi. Even if I or anyone need anything, Scott and James are really helpful and always down for a chat!
