L dropped off grocery items - much needed cans of meat protein and jars of honey. The ASRC assists some of the most vulnerable people in the community. There waa a steady stream of people needing assistance. They do their best to find interpreters. Staff were kind and caring. Wishing ASRC all the best in the future.

I'm not doubting this charity helps SOME refugees. But I'm encouraging potential donors to do their due diligence and consider other refugee charities who are more transparent with how they use money donated. I encourage everyone to not fall for ASRC's great marketing. For example: I sent ASRC an email to ask them about their administrative costs. The first answer I got from them is that 6.5% of all donations are spent on administration costs. However, I know for a fact that the proportion of ASRC funds spent on staff salaries according to their 2022 annual report and ACNC reports is 65%. So I query ASRC on this and they then email back to say their administrative costs are actually higher than the initial 6.5% quoted. So that's the first lie uncovered. Then I sent a separate email asking for the breakdown of how the $19 million in salaries they payed in 2022 (according to their annual report) is spread across the staff cohort (Ceo, management and so on). They couldn't answer! So basically, no one knows how much Kon (the CEO) is taking home in cash for this whole ASRC operation. Finally, please look up Asylum Seeker Resource Centre on Glassdoor - what I'm saying here is corroborated by other people who have worked within ASRC.

I am Hailesemaet. As asylum seeker, the center made easiest my life in Melbourne. Thanks for all footscray supportive staff, especially thanks for Shurthi, Asmat and Sara who are supported in my case.
Keep hope for hopeless!

Those recently giving bad feedback are hopeless hypocrites, I’ve met them in person (is a refugee myself and saw it all - been with the ARSC for 5 years straight). They helped me keep my dignity intact when I was ditched and told to go back where I’ve come from, they saved me out of homelessness when the government’s housing rejected me for being on a bridging visa back 2019:) they changed my whole life when I almost lost myself and especially during lockdown… free big boxes of food, free medical treatments, free myki, free vouchers, free face masks, free everything; also free communities to learn english and all kinds of things including how to use taxes and computers, free accommodation, free emotional support and legal aid which helped quicken my PR and finally get it last year (took 9 years even though I graduated from a uni here and been working - living as aussie as ever) without them, I would have committed suicide. Without them, the social welfare is in danger because with bad environments comes bad life decisions thus criminal issues.

CEO is a fraud and his name explains everything Kon because he cons innocents Australians taking their money while selling poor asylum seekers and refugees stories. He knows the business inside out knows these migrants will never speak up against him because they have visa issues and other battle in life, he knows this business will run smooth. Millions in donations but not reaching towards asylum seekers/ refugees families, they only employ white Australians and never give jobs to asylum seekers because they don’t want them to empower or takeover all they want is them to beg for rest of their life so that they can their business smoothly. Where are those millions in donations? Show your bank account? Most of the money goes to the salaries of all the upper manager’s executive directors staff. All asylum seekers will get is expired bread and can food. Shame on you running your business over people dead bodies how could you sleep? Stand up for your right and please report ASrc to media and ACNC.

I have visited this place to get some help regarding to enrolment in a bachelor degree (I’m a tax payer) and I can’t enroll with the type of visa that have and must pay international fees to go uni even tho i have been living here for 10years! The way I got treated was DISGUSTING and sooo RACIST as being women of colour i can exactly tell when someone is treating me with racist attitude. So technically I’m paying extra taxes compare to citizens and get no benefits out of it! Just sending their kids to uni with my money so i can be treated this way by them! This people are awfully racist! I hope no one ever has to go to them or need their help for something as they are extremely useless anyway

There advertising on t.v. Is completely incorrect. Check with gov agency's. ALL LEGAL ASYLUM are intitalled to Medicare, Job seeker and Age Pension. Yes they may need help with food. But I am an age pensioner and get exactly the same service as them. And I have lived here for 70 years. I would like to see there books to see where the money you donate actually goes. I fear a lot is going in there pockets

I find it unbelievable that this organisation criticizes Australia and it's government when these asylum seekers have been bought to this wonderful country and given such a great opportunity at the expense of our hard working tax payers.one can only hope that they will become "lifters " and not long life "leaners " like so many have in the past

I wonder whether ASRC aware the psychological abuse they are putting us through. Asrc’s Continues psychological abuse causes humongous anxiety, depression and sleep deprivation to me and my kids. It is unfortunate the only place we as asylum seekers can turn into causes this havoc in our lives. Asrc not only psychologically abusing me but my daughter‘S aswell. Which leads to EMOTIONALLY abusing children or failing to educate them will be treated as seriously as physical violence, with jail sentences. Every time I raised issues asrc been gaslighting me. And refused to medical and rental services. (Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse where a person or group makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust themselves.) and tried child protection on me. Action that failed asrc miserably.both emotional and psychological abuse are actions or activities that are designed to diminish, disparage, belittle, or exert control over another individual. These actions do not have to be physical in nature; they can be strictly verbal or even non-verbal. The definition of psychological abuse is It manifests itself when behaviour “torments, intimidates, harasses” or is considered offensive to the person at which they are directing their anger.sole purpose. CEO kon is a bully and so are the board of members. Their wealth grows each year and the aiding for refugees gone to the gutter. There are no more doctors or nurses that are willing to volunteer other than on wages. Famously assisting asylum seekers but secretly throwing them to street. Not the quality but quantity that matters when it comes to receiving donations so ignorance and abandonment on members doesn’t count. Asrc as a helping organization psychologically abused and harassed me and my daughter S brutaler myself and my kids to this psychological batter and decided to challenge this organizations inhumanity. Samudra. Member 2059

The relevant program coordinators keep changing and each abd every time.e this happens when clientele thrown under the bus. You treat clients like pets. All the members are asyluseekers but you think you have the right to categories them. If an outsider interview your clients then Australia will know. This psychological bullying need ending.also asylum-seekers do have special need kids but asrc ignore that. I don't think you have good hearts. Becareful because I believe bad people go to hell.

Excellent service, swift and genuine. They are providing a vital service and in a non-fuss manner. Have been a part of the annual auction, job seeker services, cleaning contractors and more. I highly recommend getting involved with this business in any way that you can contribute.

I had six months of experience working in this organization. It was a wonderful experience for me. In my opinion, this organization is an excellent place to work because it has a friendly atmosphere and meets the job standards to the desired extent. If you are an asylum seeker who needs help, this organization is also a great place to go. But be patient, the number of contacts with the organization is almost high. The staff will do their utmost to help you. They may need more time to process your application.
