Astoria Paper Products

Incorrect prices at Astoria Paper. Three of the four items that I took to the register with clearly marked price stickers turned to be vastly incorrect. The 4x ribbons were approximately $36. Scan at register was $55. The sales person must have noticed but said nothing about the huge discrepancy. I queried it and Manager was consulted and he shrugged and said, “ it’s a human error the register scan is correct” like it happens all the time. Oh really? He claimed that posted prices were correct but stickers not as much. Well that reassured me!
So I’m wondering. What percentage of Astoria Paper customers could have paid more over the years than the prices listed on the stickers and never noticed? 5%-10%? Who knows.
Errors happen but this rude and dismissive attitude that I would just shrug, accept it and pay the extra annoyed me. Had there been some attempt to remedy and not make me feel like I had wasted my time this review would never be written.

In desperate need of employing more people. Never deliver when they promise. 3 weeks and waiting.

Too greedy and acquired another business without having staff thus delay in answering calls, service and delivery

Ordered click and collect. Extremely easy and the person was extremely friendly also. Had a quick look around before collecting order massive store with heaps of reasonable prices. Will definitely be back

Used this company for 6 months but always wrong stock delivered or the order is not taken properly. Its hard to reconcile an account when you have so many credit notes going through. If you have plenty of time on hand to reconcile the account then its ok to use them.

Really friendly staff and a great range of products. Blew up my balloons with helium for free and did it straight away.

Terrible service. We’re all having a hard time shopping during covid. If you do not wish to service, please do close shop. I was confused with the container size I wished to order and got a yelling.
Very rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. Two other staff just stood by and watched. Ended up leaving without my order.

Quite simply the nicest people you could hope to do business with. The people behind the scenes running the wholesale business are absolutely top notch, and I recent had cause to visit their retail store and the staff there were fabulous. The product range is bewilderingly broad and deep. If you are looking for that elusive product for your party needs, they have most likely got it. I cannot recommend more highly.

You will find class in every product of Astoria doesn't matter, what price it is of. The quality and variety is contemporary. The staff is very helping and friendly and do the best to facilitate you in getting the product of your choice, Specially by advising and recommending as per the type of occasion and no.of people's gathering. They dig into the warehouse and gets you the best ever product from the variety's perspective

Fast delivery & great customer service. I purchased some plastic plates for Christmas this year & they are absolutely beautiful. Will definitely do business with them again!

I was always a fan of Astoria. Nice staff, good prices, large range.

So why the negative review?

The people who stand behind the nice staff/good prices and large range DON'T stand behind the product they sell.

If you have a complaint or an issue, don't bother going back, just throw whatever it is they sold you in the bin and move on.

Very dissappointing indeed.

Event planners dream! Tons of different types of plates, tablecloths, napkins, party favors etc.

Everyone recommended as a one stop for all your decoration needs but we went shopping for Grand final decoration and they had nothing! And no longer rent helium. Kind of disappointing as they swam to have everything but when it went to details they did not haven't half of the things we required.
