Associate Professor Philip Bekhor- Dermatologist

I would not recommend this surgery. Extremely unprofessional. Terrible atmosphere and no care was taken at all. Left burnt and unable to get a follow up appointment.

Dr Bekhor has been the family dermatologist for so many years that it feels like he is family. He has looked after us through the big changes and also the small changes due simply to sun and age. He’s been our safe pair of hands and he’s consistently been supported by great staff. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Bekhor and his clinic nor recommend them both strongly enough.

My family and I have received expert treatment and care over several years from this incredible Dermatology Practice. We have been treated by a host of highly experienced Dermatologists and also by Dr Bekhor himself. From newborns to my elderly parents, Dr Bekhor and his team have looked after me and my family with outstanding care and sensitivity. Their expertise and clinical practice is cutting edge. Dr Bekhor's vast experience and high standing within the Australian, and also the International Dermatology profession, affords unparalleled confidence. There have been several times where his insight and treatment have been game changers for me, and for my family. Over many years I have recommended Laser Dermatology to several friends whose teenagers have struggled with acne, and they have been blown away by how quickly, and successfully their children have been treated and cleared. The staff are always caring and unfailingly professional. The covid safe protocols practiced are of an extremely high standard, and even though I am unbelievably Covid risk averse, I have felt comfortable and confident attending because of the fastidious care taken to keep staff and patients safe. This practice is gold.

If you are looking for exceptional knowledge, skill, cleanliness and state of the art equipment, I would look no further than Dr Bekhor and his team of nurses and receptionists! Dr Bekhor went above and beyond in giving me the most incredible results! This team 100% exceeded my expectations on my procedures that where required. I would highly recommend this surgery!

I feel regret that I went to this place because until now I still suffer with the serious side effects that I am crying all the time. If I was aware of that may could happen to my face. I would not do it. Please save your life and do not risk yourself going to lazers treatment especially this one

Dr Bekhor is a professional in all aspects. He goes above and beyond to make sure of the best outcomes. It is this level of pre-emptive checking and detail that gives me confidence to know I'm in good hands. My sister and I have had nothing but the best experience at Laser Dermatology. First begun seeing Dr Phil Bekhor 25 years ago when my daughter was born with a haemangioma. He provided excellent care for her and was always available at short notice. I trust him implicitly. My sister and I have attended the clinic for many years and have found the staff to be always professional, courteous and very accommodating, especially when needing a 'last minute' appointment. Can't speak highly enough of both Linda and Siobhan the nurses who themselves have many years of experience in their field. Always extremely happy with end result of any skin treatment they recommend. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

*BEWARE*. DO NOT HAVE LASER 'TREATMENT' HERE. ROSACEA 'TREATMENT' BURNT THE SUBCUTICULAR LAYERS OF FACE AND INCURRED LYMPHATIC AND NERVE DAMAGE. When asked, the 'treating' dermatologist didn't know the proper skin-type laser dose and laughingly said she would leave it to 'the experts' to set it ie.the non-medically trained technicians. Technician refused to stop the 'treatment' when begged when the pain had become intolerable saying "[she] HAD to [complete it]". The 'treating' technician was described by the business owner dermatologist as being non-medical 'ex-Army' and "very task-oriented" - ie.had learnt one process and was incapable of applying discretion - so he knew she was inadequate and underskilled to be doing the potentially dangerous job The business owner dermatologist wearing his decorative amulets couldn't care about the aftermath and said to go and practise "mindfulness" in dealing with a disfigured, painful, swollen, throbbing, bright red, agonising face where couldnt breath through swollen nose, or open mouth in swollen lower face, or chew, or move head from thick, swollen neck where the lymph drained to and collected each day. Then in order to deflect any responsibility for the facial damage caused the business owner dermatologist conconcted a hopefully fallacious theory that the laser treatment had "triggered an additional type of Rosacea" namely Rosacea Lymphedema, a particularly disfiguring life-ruining permanent condition. Embarassing comments constantly received such as "have you got mumps? ". "have you had your wisdom teeth out? ". "why are you bright red, you look so hot? ". THIS LASTED 3 YEARS in an acute form and remains to a lesser degree still. Still need to sleep sitting up so sleep quality is chronically poor. No onsite immediate aftercare for the burnt face before being packed off home in extreme distress with no adequate home-care advice given, but there probably isn't a pamphlet for "What to do after treatment when your face and its underlying structures have been burnt by laser. " Arrogant rude reception staff and inadequately trained technicians incapable of applying discretion where one laser dose fits all skin types from leathery to fine. The effect of the trauma from the dreadful experience will never go, with flashbacks and nightmares and seeing the damage in the mirror and feeling its discomfort every day, and by the absolute abandonment by the business owner dermatologist. Any appts made asking for help were dismissive and were billed for. This is a money-making amateurish business with NO "do no harm" ethos whatsoever. **AVOID AT ALL COSTS**

Associate Professor Bekhor is the best! It’s no wonder that people travel from around the country to see him. He has treated my baby boy twice for two separate occurrences of hemangioma on my son’s face. A hemangioma is a red spot of blood vessels that appears and grows very quickly. I was referred to Dr Bekhor by my boy’s pediatrician. He said that Dr Bekhor has a long wait list. However, Dr Bekhor fit us in within only a couple of days the first time. As soon as I met him I felt instantly assured as he is super confident and you can just tell he is the best at what he does. I thought I was just coming in for a consult prior to surgery, but Dr Bekhor fixed it right there on the spot in his rooms! He was incredibly precise. Imagine trying to do surgery on a 13 month old baby. It’s probably easier if you imagine trying to do surgery on a monkey hyped up on sugar and honey. Babies don’t listen to instruction to remain still! Dr Bekhor has it all worked out to do this delicate surgery on my little monkey and he is utterly expert at it. He left no scar whatsoever.

The second time I came to see Dr Bekhor was about 5 months later. My son had another hemangioma that appeared suddenly, grew rapidly and then bled everywhere at about 4am on a Monday. Dr Bekhor was on holiday at the time, but he came into his rooms specially to treat my boy. He is a saint - I am so grateful, thank you so so much Dr Bekhor! Again, the surgery was incredibly precise and over and done with really quickly and my boy was happy straight afterwards.

The staff are all so lovely too. In between treatments for my son I was able to get some recommendations for a Rationale skincare regime (as they sell Rationale there). My skin has never been better. I’d like to go back and get some cosmetic laser treatments for myself and also laser tattoo removal as they all the state of the art lasers there, because Associate Professor Bekhor is the leader in this field in Australia.

Dr Bekhor is a wonderful, knowledgeable and highly professional dermatologist. He has an excellent manner with patients which is extremely comforting. The reception staff and nurses are very welcoming and friendly.

Dr Bekhor is outstanding, and such a pleasure to visit. I have been a client for many years and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. All the staff are so well trained and knowledgable, in all areas. Thank You for always looking after me.

I took my 13 month old daughter to see Philip Bekhor for an unsuspecting sore she had. Philip was incredibly quick and efficient dealing with a wriggly moving toddler and was able to provide the diagnosis, treatment and care plan for her. Most importantly, he put my mind at ease.

I have already seen a significant improvement to her sore and as a mother, he made me feel reassured with taking a culture for testing to cover all bases. He worked through a few of the other questions I had with a great level of care and I really appreciated the time he took to answer my questions.

His nurse Sue had such a lovely manner with my daughter who was upset after a test was done but she turned that around quickly, I was very grateful! His staff were very accomodating, patient and lovely with my mobile (and curious!) little one, it was a lovely and welcoming practice. I highly recommend Philip Bekhor and the Laser Dermatology team.
