Associate Professor Anna Rosamilia

It has taken me a year to have the confidence to write this review, but as I don't want others to have the same experience I feel it is important. The doctor talked over me in all my dealings with her, and in an internal exam did not tell me what she was going to do before doing it.

When she advised me to have a Mirena inserted, she gave very vague information about how it would help and got annoyed when I asked questions.

Just before I went into a 4pm surgery with her, the doctor told me I could go back to work the next day, completely contradicting and talking over the nurse who had advised me to give it a couple of days as I was having full anaesthetic and painkillers like fentanyl. I believe this "advice" delayed my recovery as I spent the next days thinking something was wrong with me for being so wiped out.

Administration at the clinic was also messy. For example, the administrator wanted me to travel 40 minutes each way to collect a booklet, because she didn't know how to email a website link.

Dr Anna Rosamilia was rude, distant with no manners and certainly no bedside manner - told me I was being disruptive when I asked her what she was actually going to do. I had received screeds of information about all the surgeries available for my problem but I was not told nor was I certain of the surgery she was actually going to perform! And she also wanted to use me for her research!
We are actually living, breathing, human beings, Dr Rosamilia, and not a trained Specialist as you are - it would be normal behaviour, I would think, to be concerned about surgery you were going to perform on my body!

Dr Anna provided remission to my ongoing chronic pain that I’ve had for over 8 years! I’ve seen numerous doctors before I knew Dr Anna but no one was able to provide relief and help with resolving my condition, except Dr Anna. Very grateful for the support and care I have received post my treatment. Hands down, you are the best Urogynecologist in the Country that I’ve come across, VERY knowledgeable, gentle and professional! Thank you for what you do - soo much respect!

Dr Anna is an exceptional doctor. She came very highly recommended to me by other medical specialists with knowledge of urogynecology. She is highly skilled, and took time to fully answer all my questions and concerns. All members of her Team are also respectful, knowledgable and kind. I consider myself very fortunate to have found a physician who is so outstanding. My surgery was successful and the outcome is fantastic. Care both before, during and after my procedure exceeded my expectations. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Anna Rosamilia to anyone requiring her care.

I read some of the reviews before choosing this doctor, and I considered changing specialist, as it was my first time seeing her. However, I decided to give her a go, as she does have good credentials. I found her professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. She was friendly and polite, and thorough. She did a respectful internal examination. She gave me a good plan for my reoccurring UTIs, and explained the follow up I may or may not need. The only down side is that I had an early appointment and still had to wait an hour. Glad I did. I feel like my problem is in good hands

This Dr is the reason why we should always consider gaining a second opinion from a specialist who at a minimum possesses good quality people skills. I attended with my teenage daughter due to an ongoing medical issue. From beginning to end this Dr was rude, showed no skill of gaining background information, referred us to seek medication not approved in Australia. She had no knowledge of how to administer this medication or side effects. Performed an internal examination on my daughter with no care or communication. In addition performed an ultra sound without knowledge or consent. My GP clinic will be informed and an official complaint will be made.
I have seen many specialists my self and have NEVER lodged a complaint.
