ASSA KOREAN BBQ FAIRFIELD reviews
17 I really wanted to give a higher review but I felt not welcome from the start. The gentleman working was dismissive and pretty rude and looked like he just didn’t want to be there. He continued to not really provide any service through our stay aside from changing our bbq plates abruptly.
This aside the meat was very good - the sides adequate however we found the fried chicken dry.
Not worth the money. Soup was salty, meat in the soup were hard. There is no rice for 2serve of the bbq meat. No lettuce or salad for bbq ordered. Unlike other Korean BBQ Restaurant you have to order a stew and lettice seperate.
Too expensive.
Lovely food and great service. When they thought we ordered too much, one of the chefs came out to confirm. Really nice.
Amazing authentic Korean food! Haven’t had a Korean meal that is so fairly priced for a long time. Nice interior design and very friendly staffs.
A great place to order of the menu or if your feeling like trying something new why not try the BBQ where you are the chef and can cook your food right on the table
Food was so tasty. The claypot soups were amazing and the fried chicken was phenomenal. Serves were big and very reasonable in price. No liquor licence as yet, though.
We will be back to try more on the menu very soon.
In theory it looks and sounds great, sat around for 10 minutes while the wait staff took care of the only other table there. Couldn't seem less interested in my business
We have visited this newly opened restaurant last week. We had Wagyu beef along with pork belly and other dishes. Their meat is top notch quality and my kids rave about the food. Great service as well. Love this Korean restaurant in our local area. We will definitely come back as a regular.
I had birthday party at the restaurant. Food are so delicious with very fair price compared other restaurants and Staffs are very kind and very good customer services.
Good price
good quality and quality
Kind people
BBQ wagyu quality is very high
Korean fried chicken is really really gooood
I love it
Here is my favorite from now
The staff was kind, the atmosphere of the restaurant was good, and the quality of the food was good. It's a recommended restaurant.
When ordering the pork BBQ, I specifically asked the waitress if she would be cooking the meat or if we were to it ourselves, to which she replied that she would be cooking it. No problem. As the meat was being cooked, I sought further clarification as to where the cooked meat would be placed, as I didn't see any spare plate. There was a miscommunication, and the meat was left on the hotplate, getting overcooked. We were unsure if the waitress was to return or not. Not wanting the meat to burnt we removed it and placed it wherever we could find. Sadly, the meat was overcooked and barely edible. Could you please explain to patrons the actual process and not assume we all know. All the other non-BBQ food was great.
I came here after seeing ASSA recommended by another local restauranteur. We texted the mobile number on their website, and only received a partial response so we didn’t even know if we had a reservation, but decided to show up anyway. We had the wagu set. It came with quesedillas and cheese corn, to which I pondered “am I eating Mexican? ” Someone came and started cooking our meat, then at a certain point they just walked away without saying anything. No alcohol. A Korean meal without soju is just not the same. Lettuce leaves are $10 extra, and without them you’re just left eating various meats with condiments which is weird. Overall, a strange experience.
The wagyu set menu was delicious. Seafood didn't taste super fresh, but was still nice. KFC was excellent. The main downside was no booze on the menu. Korean BBQ feels a bit vacant without a pint of crisp beer.
A really wonderful beef and mushroom stew shared by the 2 of us. Very inexpensive and very very good food.
Korean BBQ is highly recommended! The smoke extraction system is excellent, the dining environment is clean and the service is good!
My children love fried chicken very much. We will come again! !
