Ashburton Shoe Repairs & Clothing Alterations

Will not recommend this repair shop. He did not do what we have agreed on i.e. Replace 2 zipper Pulls for the price quoted. When I pick it up only 1 was replaced and the other one was not done. Therefore, he did not do what was agreed on at the price of $45 to change two zipper "pull". Very shifty I must say. Not very happy.

Excellent repair work on my leather boots that had worn heels & soles and were leaking water. Now good as new. Quick turnaround of only a couple of days. Less expensive than other places and top quality job. Highly recommended - but note that owner prefers cash.

Got a pair of RM Williams repaired and re-soled. The boots had a damage to the sole (at the toe). He fixed them up and put fresh rubber soles on the boots. Absolutely quality job and turned around in 4 days. Would recommend to anyone with RM’s.

Got a key cut a couple of weeks ago $5.60, fair enough, I’d rather support a small business than go to Bunnings, went again today $8…. Big price increase for the new year + more than 40%….

Very happy with the workmanship and friendliness of this shop. I have been going to this store for quite a few years now and gave always been a very happy customer.

Website and sign on the store door says closes at 5.30 but I arrived at 5 after work to collect my shoes but the owner said too bad come you can get them in the morning which isn’t ideal when I needed the shoes that night.

What a great place. Young guy taken over from previous owner who had been there for decades. Great to see traditional skills maintained and a local service continued. Been going there for years and will continue to do so.

Completely ruined my shoes. Didn't even offer partial refund. Damaged my shoes with the repair. Came here for years with the old owner. Will not be returning. $$$$$$ down the toilet.
