Ashburton Park reviews
11I've been coming here since 2008 and I've always liked it, that's a lot of memories here. It's a fun little park to hang out in. Played a bit of Footy, done walks around the oval and have just sat in the afternoon to chill out. I don't what it is about Ashie Park but in the warmer months the sunsets are just phenomenal to behold and the evenings give off a lovely warm glow in the late afternoon just after the sun goes down. I have yet to experience that in any other park than Ashie Park. During winter time in the cold and rain, it can be quite brutal though. The oval is huge with plenty of space with the playground equipment located in a neat left hand corner and what seems to be a kindergarten on the right side of the oval as well as well. I've only come here as a friend lives pretty close to this place and we've visited here since but he's moving to neighboring Alamein, not sure when I can come back here but I'll definitely try. Way way better than the St. Kilda Peanut Farm oval and those sunsets! Thank you for the memories Ashie Park! Will return someday.
The big, fenced sports oval supports dog exercisers, while there is a nautical themed playground at the Northern end. The sporting pavilion has toilets for all. So this is a useful park.
Great place to watch cricket kids can play in the play ground bbq facilities and you can go for a walk around the ground
Flat oval Park, running between high St and F. Rd, plenty of room in parking and walking dog on leash.
Very well maintained grassy field. Fenced in. Water fountain with pet water bowl that tips out. Cricket practice cage. Playground. Car parking.
Very well managed and manicured lawn. Excellent place for soccer, cricket and running. Well placed and breezy with plenty of room and fresh air for everyone. Also have multiple cricket batting and bowling nets. Absolutely and highly recommended.
Park mainly focused on footy/cricket/soccer training. Busy on weekends. A small but ok playground for little ones. They are renovating our building something so a bit busy with material
One of the best turf wickets I have seen. Outfield is lush green and soft. Good for evening walks.
Lacking a walking or exercise track around the outside of the sporting ground which can get very warn during the soccer season and the surrounding parkland a bog. Playground is good, but could do with some attention.
Beautiful park. Great for excercise and playing sport. The local soccer club and scouts use the park area.
My 4 boys absolutely love coming here. It's a great place but there is not really any shade when the park is full. Awesome park.
