Arundel Farm Estate reviews
61If you're going to discriminate against a certain section of people and only allow vaccinated people in to your restaurant than I don't even want to attend and will move my function elsewhere. As soon as I saw this on their website it has made me change my mind. Certain members of my group for their own personal reasons are not vaccinated and shouldn't have to explain themselves to anyone, particularly a stranger at the door of a restaurant. Disgusting.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Loved the farm- like feel: old history, animals in the paddock, stables. A hidden gem
Our First visit to this establishment and can I say was amazed that such a beautiful venue was tucked away so close. The food was exquisite all the dishes were on point in flavour and execution which elevated the eating experience. The pizza was fantastic the dough light and airy and could tell that was made with heart. We will be back again!
Well done
Be careful when you make booking with this restaurant by OpenTable. I booked my dinner last week on Friday, everything went well until I checked my bank account on Sunday. They charged booking deposit on Thursday without any notice. I emailed but no one reply, I called them today they said the money deposit already credit in my meal. I checked with my boyfriend how much we spent, and the amount exactly with what we ordered no $50 credit. But they said because we don’t have invoice anymore so they can’t do anything about that. I considered holding my wedding there but not anymore, and never go back again even the food and staffs are nice
Very dissapointed with the welcome we received on our first visit to Arundel after hearing such great things about the food and service from a collegue.
Our group were very excited to be out after this last lockdown and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel as if we were unwanted by the girl checking in guests as we hadnt made a reservation.
She had us check in through the QR code and checked we were double vaccinated (which we all were) before telling us to wait outside while she went into the restaurant and spoke to a gentlemen behind the bar.
By the time she came back we were feeling very uncomfortable to the point a member of our party wanted to just leave and go somewhere else.
The only reason i am giving our experience 3 stars is because once we were shown to our table the staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious.
Food and service absolutely top notch. Only giving it four stars because the roaming cellar door sale service was completely unnecessary and awkward. May I suggest that in future they should ask the person booking the table if they wish to be sold to during their session as it felt like an abrupt interruption to a lovely day. Can't fault anything else.
We recently organised a surprise 60th birthday at Arundel Farm Estate and it was absolutely magical! A beautiful venue that provides the most exceptional food and service. All the guests were more than impressed by the selection of food and drinks as well as the wonderful atmosphere! We would like to thank Tina and Sarah for their amazing service and for ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day. Definitely recommend this venue for any special occasion!
Highly recommend 10/10.
Definitely 5 stars rated.
Food is perfection.
Definitely hit home for me… reminds me of my Nonna’s cooking ️
This place definitely suitable for family & friends for lovely lunch or dinner.
Upon calling for a reservation, was told that was able to accommodate. Two hours later saying reservation will be delayed due to COVID have to clean the table could I arrive 30 minutes later after my scheduled time. To which I agreed, I left my house to arrive at the new schedule time and was about 1km away when I get another call saying my booking had been canceled. They over booked themselves and there was nothing they could do. Pathetic service avoid.
Visited Arundel Farm to experience the cellar door and try some wines with their advertised cheese platters. Unfortunately when we arrived the cellar door was in fact closed and despite the outside area being completely vacant they refused to serve any food outdoors, sighting covid restrictions as the reason why.
It’s disappointing they hadn’t taken the time to update cellar door opening hours on their website as had we been aware of this we would have opted to visit a different venue.
Left hungry and very disappointed.
We had a family gathering, venue was fantastic, the restaurant manager and head waitress managing our table was welcoming, informative and obliging to our needs and requirements. The atmosphere is busy, but no different from any other restaurant I would have lunch at. If anyone reads this I have one constructive feedback - the waiting staff should always ensure there's clean cutlery and plates before serving the next course e.g. Entrée, pasta and main. However, I would definitely go back to Arundel farm estate again and would definitely recommend it.
Extremely disappointed with the service. We made a booking in advance, clearly specifying that we wanted to bring dogs. After taking our booking, and driving there, they informed us that dogs weren’t allowed. The owner was unnecessarily rude about it.
Food is great, staff was very cheerful. Toilet facilities were clean and very kid friendly.
Kids enjoyed seeing the donkeys and we enjoyed the wines
Will definitely come back again
Set menu. Fooled by a generous entrèe, we thought we'd eaten too much, but the balance of a main (that wasn't excessive) was sublime.
We visited Arundel Farm Estate for Mother’s day. Unfortunately, they didn’t meet our expectations. The food was beautiful, however the service was terrible. Very basic, uninterested and demotivated waiting staff. We had several issues throughout the day which I am happy to discuss further. After bringing up our concerns to the person in charge, we received x2 wine bottles for our table which was a nice gesture however, no attempt to recover the situation was noted. I understand that it was a busy day, as such, it is expected to experience a slight delay In service delivery, however what we’ve experienced yesterday was way below standards.
16 people booking including 6 children.
Not recommended.
Drove here for lunch after flying in. Lady advised they were fully booked and couldn't seat us. Didn't offer takeaway or any solutions. Poor service really.
Such a cute place! Hard to believe you're just 30ish minutes from the city! Food is good, wine is better, location is best!:)
My partner and I visited Arundel for Dinner for a celebratory meal, we were seated in the stables area which was very charming. A special shoutout to Amy who was exceptional, she answered all questions about wine and the meals and nothing was to much trouble, it was quite busy but you would have never known with her level of service. We both had wood fire pizzas which were hands down the best we’ve ever had! Can’t wait to visit again.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch today at this special restaurant in the old stables. The octopus was a stand out amongst 3 excellent dishes. The wood oven pizza is also up there with the best in Melbourne. Will return to enjoy again.
Amazing experience. We did not expect much to be honest especially since it was only a 30min drive from Coburg but it turned out to be gorgeous! Beautiful horses, cute donkeys, rustic yet cute restaurant, great atmosphere, good food. As someone who worked in hospitality, the service was professional yet friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed the food. They have a selection of cocktails and I asked for a customised cocktails using ingredients on the menu and both the waitress and the bartender accommodated my request and it was just what I wanted: easy passion fruit spritz!
And one of the best out of the experience was Kira! With her cute little wine tasting trolley! Such professional, accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable woman. She asked us if we wanted the complimentary wine tasting during or after our meal which was lovely. Great conversation and wine! Such a great way to support local businesses and enjoy your date!
Would definitely recommend it 100%!
