Have always loved the chicken & snitzel burgers from Charcoal chicken. Totally disappointed this time……. The snitzel was less than a third of the size. Covered maybe half the roll. New owners…not sure why they’ve changed but we won’t be back.

We have never had a bad experience here. Gave up on the Red chicken fast food restaurant years ago, tried Arena Chook Shed and never looked back - tasty chicken, salads and chips with friendly service to match. Turkey can be ordered for Christmas. Highly recommended.

Always ask for overcooked chips and you get fantastic quality. Chicken is great too and the best item on the menu is the chicken roll. Best chicken roll I've had!

Bought two salads yesterday one was the seafood salad. There was two bits of seafood the rest was sauce and celery. Paid Nine dollars for some cut up celery. Very very disappointed. Last time I will buy from
here always want to support local not again

We haven't had charcoal chicken in quite a while and thought we'd give this place a go.
Oops.
That was a mistake.
Dry chicken.
Cold chips.
Seafood salad was virtually all celery.
Caesar salad, all lettuce.
Both salads were about 3 tablespoons worth.
Sorry, won't be back.

Since changing owners, it's sadly gone down hill very badly. Chips taste stale and cold, chicken dried and sadly the gravy isn't like the previous owners. I'm so disappointed because it once was such an amazing place to get chips and chicken. I purchased multiple hoping the next time would be better, sadly it just got worse. I no longer go here anymore. I really don't feel the new owners care. I don't feel they put in any effort. I feel they cut corners and unfortunately ripping people off with poor food. I don't think they source their chickens very well either unfortunately. I actually hope these owners sell so that someone buys it and makes it great again.

Ordered a Chicken Parm with salad. The breadcrumb coating tasted extremely thick and mushy compared to other shops in the area, and didn't feel like it was properly cooked, yet despite that the chicken tasted relatively dry and bland. The sauce wasn't the tastiest either but that could just be due to a lack of any on there as it didn't even come close to reaching the edge, and the cheese appeared to just be two square slices rather than shredded to cover the chicken properly. Meanwhile the salad had raw tomato with wrinkled soft skin rather than firm, while the dressing and other ingredients were fine. The portion size and thickness of the chicken was also good, however for $20 it was a fairly disappointing meal when all added together.

Why the surcharge? There is no reason. Look at the sign, “help us to keep our prices lower”. And above, “a payment processing fee will be added to your payment. ”. It can’t be both. A surcharge actually increases the price, it doesn’t lower it. A few years ago under different management this didn’t occur. There isn’t even a different between credit cards and eftpos. Hey, eftpos is cash. Plenty of other chicken shops around not charging surcharges.

Unfortunately bought two charcoal chooks to find a fly on one piece and maggots crawling next to the bone of a drum stick. When returned it the manager made me feel like I was making this up, did not throw out the tray of chickens that were standing next to these chickens and did not apologise for their poor food hygiene. Never again will I purchase food from Chook Shed Arena shopping centre. They need to reassess their unfavourable food handling techniques. I am a nurse I do not lie

Chips were okay, chicken macaroni salad is actually really really bad, not only is there close to no chicken in it but the salad just doesn't taste nice at all, they should try it for themselves and they'll probably agree they should take it off the menu. Also had a snitzel burger, that was alright. Definantly not worth what I paid for all that. Definantly won't try this place again.

Have given this charcoal chicken multiple chances but last week was unfortunately its last chance for me.

Peak dinner time and the chicken was dry and very dry. I asked for chicken salt on chips and wasn't any.
Disappointed

The chips are great, but the last few times I've ordered from here the chicken has been so dry that it's almost been inedible.

I would love to keep ordering from you, but you seriously need to do something about how you're cooking the chicken.

I got a large seafood salad & it was all celery with 5 pieces of seafood.
I was very disappointed when I wanted seafood not celery.

Always awesome here! Nick who is the owner is soooo lovely and always is up for a chat.few cheeky extras here and there is always awesome too! You can tell this an owner who takes pride in his shop!

Got our Christmas function catered for by Nick and his team. Couldn't fault it. Absolutely delicious. Great customer service and good pricing. My go to place when in need of a good feed. Thanks guys

Just spent $30.00 odd dollars on 2 salads and chicken. Chicken very very dry and could
not eat it. Salads nice but will not buy from there again
