Archie's Watch & Clock Repairs reviews
30Archie's is highly recommended for anything time related. I had a citizen eco-drive that was very dear to me and had been a great watch for over 10 years when the capacitor decided it was 'time' to stop. Archie repaired the watch as there were other issues as well and I received it back fully set and ready to tell the time for another decade or so. Thank-you very much.
Extremely honest and knowledgeable. Absolutely best place to get pocket watches and antique clocks repaired.
I have had two clocks repaired here and would not hesitate to go back.
I couldn’t be happier with Archie and his customer service. I dropped off two watches to have batteries replaced and pressure tested, also resized for my son which he also re adjusted when we picked up. Great service and highly recommended
Archie is truly the best in the business. I could't recommend him more for any of your watch repair needs. He is so knowledgable, his pricing is competitive and his workmanship is the best i've ever seen. I could not be more impressed with the work he did on my father in law's Rolex. This Rolex had never been serviced and the glass was cracked and it rusted out. The Rolex quote was outrageous with a 9 month turnaround. Archie came back with a competitive quote, and the watch was fixed in 8 weeks. It looked brand new and I just can't believe its the same watch. If you need your watch repaired, you shouldn't go anywhere else. They will provide the best service, guaranteed.
The old guy act's like he knows but that's not the case they charged me $200 dollars for a seiko kinetic compositor charge the compositor costs no more than $45 dollars $155 dollars for a 10 minute job will never go there again rip off
The best in the business.
I’ve taken several watches to these guys and can confidently say, they’re the best watch repairers in Melbourne. They’re meticulous and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Dropped 2 watches off here. He said he would call me in 1 week with a quote. 1 month goes by, still no call. I call him, he hadn't even taken a look at the watches. One of the watches had a broke crown. Or so I thought. I took it to another watch repair and the guy instantly put the crown back in and showed me it was designed to be removable. On top of that the workshop was an absolute mess. Embarrassing presentation and professionalism.
I took my wife's Omega Constellation watch for bracelet/strap adjustment. Archie has a champion team of skilled watchmakers that can assist with your watch needs. Great experience.
A true master at watch repairs. And an awesome person to deal with.
I've had multiple watches repaired here, where other repairers couldn't even attempt a repair.
If you have a watch/ clock that needs looked at, Archie is your guy.
Took my automatic watch In for repair, poor communication did not call me back for weeks and supposedly left messages for me which I never received. Watch still does not work and never returned my calls when I rang back to to inform them it still wasn't working. Would not reccomend.
Archie and his staff were wonderful in helping me with my mantle clock. They were beyond professional, they helped me out and are true gentleman! I would thoroughly recommend their curtesy, helpfulness and skill. Will only go to them in the future. Thank you. Lynne
Quick efficient service. Have only ever taken my watches for repair here. On the spot battery change of my Longines watch with diamonds, very well trusted.
Did a great job servicing my automatic divers watch. It's a SW200 movement (non-COSC), a replica of the ETA-2824, and after one month (after the break-in period following servicing) is running an average of 1.5sec/day fast, which is perfect. Will bring my watch back here in 3-5 years as opposed to sending it overseas to the manufacturer.
Always a pleasure to deal with.
Been to Archie's many times for my watch repairs/batteries and wouldn't go anywhere else.
First class.
What a fantastic business. I presented a 19th century mantle clock, that hadn't ticked or chimed in 50 years and looking worse for wear. It belonged to my great grandfather who won it in a horse and cart event with a personalised inscription. Lots of sentimental value. A beautiful restoration at a very cheap price given the workmanship and labour. Highly recommend
If you want the artisan horological experience and expertise. This is the place. I've taken a few watches to have links taken out and batteries fitted. I doubt you'll find this level of service at Mr Minute or a shopping centre walkway stall.
If you're in doubt take in your timepiece to have the time set or make enquiries for the family heirloom watch or clock.
Repairs my favourite old wind up watch at a very reasonable price. I am so happy to be a ble to wear it after it sitting in a box for you years.
A real gentleman and great workmanship. Will beer going back with an old wind up clock next.
An absolute gentleman that can fix any timepiece, restored an old watch for me and did an amazing job
Friendly and helpful gentlemen. Quick service. However, they don’t have eftpos facilities. Just a small inconvenience though, at an otherwise good repair shop. Thanks for your help today.
Went there for a bezel swap, they told me it’s gonna take 5 days and 40$ for it. It takes merely 5 minutes to swap a bezel surely no one is that busy. Also they said they won’t be responsible for any markings during the process, I mean That’s your job as a professional to make sure those things never happen.
