Arch of Victory Memorial reviews
10Another Ballarat must see. Instead of just driving through, stop, park and take the time to appreciate and respect this monument. Imposing Arch surrounded by memorials, lest we forget.
Always an honour and pleasure to visit the Arch of Victory, even more so after the current events unfolding throughout Europe.
This is a memorable memorial dedicated to those who fell in the First World War.
The Arch stands Infront of the Avenue of Honour which stretches for Kilometres.
There are other memorials located there, like the poem of a Mother who will never see her Son's face again.
Beautiful surroundings and grand Arch that stands out so majestically, honouring all the soldiers and trees planted for them.
This is a magnificent memorial to both those who served in conflict and those who didn 't return. The new reflection garden and its tribute to the "greiving mother" is heart wrenching. Make sure you visit the memorial wall 30 metres to the south near the reflection garden. Hats off to the memorial custodians who do a magnificent job maintaining the site and also ensuring history and sacrifice is not forgotten.
Arch of Victory commemorates the people of Ballarat who served in the first world war and remembers their service to the nation. The Avenue has around 3901 trees planted in the honour in those served in the war.
My husband came here in 1954 on his dad's crossbar to see the queen so bought back a lot of memories for him
Very touching and also spectacular monument to honour those who served in World War I from the City of Ballarat. Absolutely love this place!
If only the other states were as passionate as ballarat is about the generation that went to war and remembering them
