Aqualink Box Hill reviews
70Overcrowded. No enough changing rooms or shower areas. Swimming teachers here are meh. Should have gone elsewhere.
Box Hill Aqualink is a great facility- however I am becoming increasingly angry at how the Surrey Park Swimming Club has virtually taken over the place. It is virtually a coup. Once they are there, you cannot access the dive pool or any swimming lane.
I pay a membership, and my membership is becoming worthless due to the pools being unavailable. Kick the Surrey Swim Club out. They need to build their own facilities. We pay money to use the pool, and I want to use it.
Great gym facilities, professional and friendly staff, and a very positive, inclusive atmosphere
Crazy how the toddler pools close noon-3.30pm M-F with nowhere for them to go. Guess they’re trying to save on lifeguard wages
I drowned here back in 2013 and the life guard did nothing
I hope the lifeguards take their jobs seriously.
Was treated rudely by a PT at there gym for using one of only two Squat racks that have the platforms despite two other Squat racks being free. I felt like I was bullied for using the equipment. When I followed up with why they didn't use one of the other ones they just replied they prefer the one I was using. Not a friendly gym to weightlifters/body builders in my opinion.
Very dirty amenity, gym equipment requires cleaning and showers disgusting. Indifferent staff, no orientation to the facility. Beware cannot get refund for multipass (not disclosed at purchase) as I would not set foot inside this facility again. I value my wellbeing too much.
Sadly, nowadays the chlorine level of the swimming pool is extremely high, it burns our eyes and makes us cough nonstop. Is a very unpleasant situation. Last time I asked if the levels were ok, and someone there responded, yes is fine, but is clearly not: (
My kids go there for swimming training. Ideal please for swimming and water entertainment for kids. Many life guards and trainers present. Nice nest cafeteria as well
Great sport facility. Swimming pool for family. 3 multi purpose courts. Need to book in advance especially for weekends. Generally clean, sometimes the courts are a little dusty and slippery
Facilities are excellent at aqualink ranging from water to stadium sports, both indoor and outdoor. The courts have recently been polished. Staff are kind and helpful.
Basketball courts can really use some upgrades. Some courts’ flooring feels empty below and ball doesn’t bounce as it should be. Floor can get dusty at times as well. Staff are all friendly and helpful.
Staff members are friendly and helpful. My kids attend swim school here and they are very happy with the classes, and the splash area which is great for children of all ages.
Very good swimming pool, I preferred it but I think I would like less chemicals in to the water
(all related to pool/spa activities) : Expensive and poor pool & sauna facilities. Especially so, when they charge full price despite doing major works to the place at the same time. Things are quite unclean in the bathrooms and look run-down. Went one time and the door at the back was blowing cold air in (during winter) and then blowing dust particles (from the construction) all over the pool area. Also huge amounts of noise, from drilling, etc. They should do that outside of hours or charge less. It's meant to be a recreation space, meaning, it's meant to be relaxing. The spa might be the only good part. Sauna is good too but it has quite a woody smell that I am not sure is safe.
Great local aquatic centre with indoor/outdoor pool, a kid's play area including a slide. There are also courts to hire for badminton, basketball etc. Have been doing swimming lessons for my children there for awhile.
What a great pool, with very helpful, friendly and supportive staff and good facilities.
I'm currently using the Hydro pool which is helping my back and hip injury. With a gentle ramp for entry & exit or gentle, shallow, stairs, plus a place to safely stand my walking stick, it is making a big difference. This all makes access possible and comfortable. There are also a couple of special shower facilities, with hand rails, etc that have been a great help too.
Parking is generous and so far I've not had to park too far from the entrance.
I've been so happy using this great facility, that I've now joined as a member, instead of just using a multi-pass for visits. I'm currently only getting there twice a week, but that is keeping me ahead of costs for membership.
If you've not tried Aqualink Box Hill it's time to explore and give them a try.
This morning we were served by Lynda. She was very patient and professional. We had some issues with our multi pass card, she was very patient to help us. She let us to go to swim first and resolved the issue after our swim. It was surprisingly busy at 6 o clock in the morning, yet she handled her work well. We would like to thank her for having great customer service.
Well priced swimming pool. And probably a crowd favourite for parents sending their children here for swim lessons, since they have a water playground here as well.
But if you are looking to teach your own children to swim, there’s no place here for you. Because the only available lane for you to do so is the multi purpose lane, where you will be crowded with 50 people within a single lane, where the rest of the 5 lanes are reserved for 1 or 2 “fast or medium” swimmers… booo!
The guys at the swimming registry desk need to up their game. Pretty rude and unaware. The women are great.edit:
Just finished the class for my 3 yo. Did 4 laps of half the pool in 30 minutes. The classes are too large, theyre playing more than learning.
Don't register for kids swimming if you value your time. What a waste of time.
