I love this place and always make a purchase when i'm in town but the last few times the food has been really below standards. Ordered standard large chips which were over fried and brown, flakes also overdone and scallops not so great. Not sure if the alternating staff cause these inconsistencies but it was disappointing. We ate on a sunday 7/01. Pains me to write this as i love this establishment but i've had subpar food more than a couple of times.please address this guys.

As someone who has explored every fish and chip shop along this iconic route (having done the Great Ocean Road nine times), I can confidently say this is the best.

Their seafood platter is simply amazing. The batter on the fish is thin and crisp, a perfect texture that is never soggy, highlighting the quality of the fish used. The oysters and prawns are also of exceptional quality, fresh and flavourful. While the sauces, such as the tartare, are a bit expensive and served in small quantities, I'd love to see them offer a homemade option in the future. The coleslaw served alongside is good and complements the meal well.

The service at Apollo Bay Fisherman's Co-Op is impressively fast, even during busy times, which is a significant plus. The chips are served without much salt, allowing customers to customise to their taste, a thoughtful touch for those with specific seasoning preferences.

Based on my extensive road trips across Australia and trying numerous fish and chips, this place ranks equally with the best I've found in Hervey Bay and Bowen. I highly recommend Apollo Bay Fisherman's Co-Op as one of the best fish and chips establishments in Australia.

It is the one place for fresh fish, chips and great coleslaw. Must have if you are in Apollo Bay!

The scallops were too salty and the texture was off, and the shrimp and lobster were also not excellent. The fried fish was also of average beer restaurant quality.

Amazing seafood selection over here. We really enjoyed the seafood platter and highly recommended to get their fish and chips! The food took some time but it was well worth the wait.

This has been a family fav for many years. The calamari salad and rings are a stand out. The chips are fresh and overall is very popular. There is a water front view which really adds to the vibe. Recommended.

A must visit place and number one destination for Seafood lover. The seafood here is so fresh, tender and juicy. We ordered seafood platter consist of fried calamari, chips, fish, grilled scallop, boiled prawns and coleslaw on side. There are plenty of food for 2 people and only cost $50. The lobster also very fresh and taste really good. We can have the seafood outdoor along the harbour overlooking the jetty, beach, sailing boats and vast ocean. Waht an enjoyable dining experience

Yummo if your a seafood luver. Scallops although plentiful and tasty were so tiny, callamari was a tad rubbery and one of the fish was not boned so be cautious. The prawns were lovey and succulant and the flake and butterfish pieces had a nice batter and nicely cooked. Chips were okay.

Great prices, fast service, hot fresh food, and delicious crispy chips. Really good spot for lunch. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I think some extra undercover seating would be better, as the outdoor area is a great place to sit and eat but not so great when it’s wet & rainy. Otherwise, everything was perfect with reasonable prices for good sized portions, and excellent service especially considering how busy they were. Will eat there again.

Great tasting fresh seafood and awesome customer service, despite being super busy during holiday season. There chips may need a bit of improvement. But fish is so good that they deserve full 5 (maybe 10) stars. Went back 3 times in our 5 day holiday in Apollo Bay. Highly recommended.

Hands down best seafood we had on our great ocean road.the wait for was reasonable for how busy it was nye day.i recommend the lobster and the seafood platter.

Ordered seafood platter $50 and half crayfish $45. Fresh dan delicious, they know their seafood.

Half lobster and flat head tails. The flatties were perfect. Service was excellent. View terrific.

Fish and chips with a view, what a ripper.
Had squid and watermelon salad, fisherman basket meals. Had flies problem, but not really the shop problem. Fresh product and delish.

Pretty basic fish and chips. Disappointing after reading the positive reviews. Chips were cold and chewy and fish was just OK.

Wanted live lobster, managed to get a little tour out the back and picked a poor fella to come home with us for dinner. Friendly chap help me picked my dinner guest.

Classic Aussie fish and chips (chips a little yellow, but super crunchy). Feels very local. The platters looked delicious.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Everything was perfect. Delicious tartare, great chips, fish wasn't dripping with oil, even the salad was tops. I was slightly worried that I remembered it being better than it actually was but then I literally drove 45 minutes out of the way solely to come here for lunch and I have zero regrets. Fifteen out of 5 stars!

The best fish and chips we've ever had. Fish was so perfectly cooked. The view is amazing. Staff very friendly and efficient. Will definitely visit again. Thank you.
