Apollo Bay Distillery

Loved my visit so much I went twice in a week. Excellent selection of drinks, the tasting paddle is generous and the food was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and the venue had great covid safe practices in place.

My girlfriend has recently had to go dairy free and gluten free and it has been such a culture shock and a strain on where we can go eat. The staff were lovely and helped us to get her a delicious pizza. Thank you again as we have come from Geelong for her Birthday. Cheers!

Just one little personal opinion, it would be even more wonderful if there is a bit chili olive oil added on the prawn pizza

Fantastic and tasty gin cocktails, friendly (and hardworking) staff, and great food to go with. We arrived (Sat 8th Jan) without booking and due to staff shortages (Omicron) the limited staff allowed us to take a table with limited menu. However the cocktails available were so tasty and we enjoyed the many prior to our meal (my favourite was "the captains").
Ol' mate working overtime on the pizza oven provided the most delicious "Prawn to be Wild" - Well done and congrats to you.
We ordered the Truffle fries which I suggest as a starter.
Bought the gin triple pack - Captain Chapmans (Navy Strength), SS Casino (Dry), Australian Ocean.

Went to Apollo Bay distillery not expecting anything, my wife and I love gin and have tried gins up and down the east cost found some great gins in Tasmania. When we arrived in the we found that the distillery was in the old post office, very cute. The food was good, there was five of us and we tried a selection of there to share and a prawn pizza. For me I judge a restaurant by how good their arancini balls are and they were great. Had the gin flight including the navy and decided to buy one of the Australian and the navy. A great little distillery and worth a visit.

In times when the business was running understaffed we were still able to have an enjoyable tasting.

The flight was presented and explained to us and we were able to take out time and enjoy.

The paring of garnishes went well and enabled us to explore the botanicals.

We expect to be back before we leave Apollo Bay to have a cocktail or two.

Ordered the capricciosa and truffle fries. It was delicious, the staff were so nice and helpful even with staff shortages and the chef was actually lovely (a rarity in hospitality for sure). Would recommend, would return!

Friendly staff, happy to accommodate and eager to ask about our experience. We came back the next day to try a gin flight and the fact that they serve the gins with the garnish and tonic to the side was great for getting to taste the gins alone before we mixed them. I really enjoyed the hope gin and the amphitrite elixir

Pizza was perfect. Very authentic base and vegetarian topping was very flavoursome. Looking forward to returning.

Great locally produced gins with a variety from the typical dry gin to some interesting boutique flavours. Really good pizza as well. Nice atmosphere and friendly service

Excellent food, service, drinks and restaurant! Could not fault anything. Extremely fresh food, pizza is outstanding. A must try if in Apollo Bay!

The staff were very friendly & attentive and provided great customer service! The gin float was a great start to the evening.would strongly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Pizza was incredible and the Gin was excellent.
We also had the fries with truffle mayo and bbq chicken wings, if you are stuck in apollo bay looking for somewhere to eat then this is the place for you.

The restaurant was packed and the staff were super busy, yet they still had the time to provide excellent service. I will definitely be back.

What a gem! Amazing gin, fantastic pizzas exceptional coffee superb service! Anyone heading out and not sure where to eat defently come here.

Pretty busy here on a Saturday night, they made room for us despite having no booking which is much appreciated. Very tasty woodfired pizzas with good veggo options, nice vibe, well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Some of the best gin Ive ever had, just had to leave with some bottles to add to my gin collection.loved the float experience too, was really well done.
