20What a pathetic company. I have phoned and left messages for 3 days and still no return call. I have emailed 3 times and no response. I feel sorry for the Answering Service company, as they are wearing it because API won't return calls. I love the way they replied to @Kate Nicholls review saying call 131 539 not sure why when all you get is their Answering Service but API never return a call. I do not know how they are still in business!
I ordered keys through this company for a corporate building they manage (at a cost of circa $228!). I used the correct code and this was verified however once I received them, the keys didn't work in the common areas. I compared it to a key which another tenant has and sent a photo to them as there was clearly a miscut.
They requested I drop the keys back to them - I did not have the time to run out to South Melbourne so I posted the keys. After chasing several times, they are now stating they never got the posted keys and are ignoring my request for either a refund or a new set of keys to be issued.
Quite frustrating as this has been on since I ordered in October 2022 - so I have no access to the common areas still, no keys and no refund.
Over a month a still waiting for 2 keys. Your calls go to a call centre. They ask you 50 questions and tell you that someone will get back to you and no one ever gets back to you.
Avoid this organisation if you can. I am a re-seller of their security safes and over the last several years their service and delays in preparing orders has only gotten worse. I work with many suppliers in the industry and this is by far the worst and most inefficient organisation I have come across. What takes every other organisation one or two days to prepare takes this company about a week, if you’re lucky. Their staff seldom reply to you in a timely manner and when you do finally get a hold of them on the phone they never seem to know what’s going on and seem to treat buckpassing as a sport. I’m at the point where I’m seeking alternative supplies for these particular kinds of products as working with API has just proven to be incredibly frustrating and unprofitable in every sense
Very rude customer service person in their call centre, rude and arrogant. However, the lock smith they sent out made up for this entirely. Thank you Bryan for your tireless effort and amazing sense of humour. A true professional.
No care taken by staff and very expensive. Ordered keys to cut and took them more than 2 weeks to get it.
I urgently needed some locks changed for an elderly family member. API not only promptly came to my rescue, but their service was also highly professional, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend API Access and Security.
After 3 months with no attendance our national company are using another locksmith. Customer service tells us they will call back and they do not.
Far too expensive; too slow, I think they think the customer is there to serve them. Do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere.
No service. Don’t use these amateurs! After 2 months without a response we changed locksmiths and couldn’t be happier.

Seriously inept. Paid in advance. No service for three months and the call center just gives me the run around. Absolutely useless. Could not be more disappointed.
Incredibly rude and expensive. Came in with a simple task and was bombarded with arrogance, rudeness and backhand comments. I’ve done the same task several times with other locksmiths and quoted price was 300% more expensive. Avoid at all costs.

Paid National Office
Money taken promptly.
Receipt emailed.
Four days later, co-worker received demand to pay.
Paid (again).
Keys promised.
Four days later.
No keys.
No refund.
No return call.
Avoid like the parasites they are.
Excellent, cheerful and prompt service from Matt. He helped us to get a new set of Abloy keys cut from two very old abloy keys, one of which was bent.
Probably the worst service ever! If you can choose someone else do it. I placed my order and after 1 week no response I give them a call.my order was lost in email.they are very busy.after they found my order they said to me the price and everything and after 2 hrs they call me back that they need authorisation. I organize an authorisation from body-corporate and again nothing happened for another 3 days. I give them a call today again and it will takes anytime between today and the end of next week? ! Seriously waiting for my home key for a month? ! Avoid this company.
Rude late and arogant crappy workmanship no clue just some of the ways to discribe this pack of idiots
After a break-in, these guys were very quick to respond to getting our locks changed.
Completed the task very quickly and with utmost professionalism. They kept in touch after the job and were happy to come back out to make some minor adjustments.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. OVER 3 WEEKS TO RECEIVE AN INVOICE. INVOICE PAID, ADVISED KEYS WOULD BE COURIERED. 1 WEEK LATER, I CALL AND AFTER 2 HOURS OF RINGING HAVE BEEN ADVISED WE HAVEN'T PAID AND THEN KEN HUNG UP ON ME. SPENT 25 MINS TRYING TO CALL BACK AND KEN THEN VERY RUDELY ADVISES ME THAT HE CAN SEE PAYMENT AND KEYS WILL BE CUT TOMORROW. HE THEN SAYS HE CAN'T MONITOR THE ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT ALL DAY. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. DISGUSTING RUDE PEOPLE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
V bad service! I would suggest giving API locksmiths an extremely wide berth. Have been without a front door key for SIX WEEKS
