Anytime Fitness

I asked them to cancel my membership and they said they did and then found out a year or so later I get an email saying they decided to continue to charge me $800 without my knowledge about this. So now I have a debt I need to find away to pay off lol and I deeply feel they have taken advantage of me and my money. I won’t recommend anytime fitness to anyone. This is just my experience with them tho

Great gym, love the latest renovations, all nicely laid out and open, always something else to use if the machine you want is in use. Clean, friendly and well organised.

The parking is atrocious. There are heaps of spots. But they seem to be taken up by other businesses around the industrial estate. They are mostly full unless you get there before 7am and after 4pm.
The facilities seem to be taking a back seat to finances coming in.
Various prices of equipment including fitness equipment has been broken and inoperable for some time now and it doesn’t seem to phase the franchise.
Facilities are broken including shower heads in the disabled change room.
The facilities seem to be cleaned but in an inconsistent and half hearted manner.
The toilets overflow constantly. Things like hand towels and cleaning towels are often empty.
There are trip hazards everywhere. And some of the electrical tags are out of date on the equipment.

Great Gym, friendly for all people. Only usually 1 machine for certain exercises such as leg extensions so if going during rush may occasionally have to wait/work around this however Gym is very spacious. Senatary wipes and chilled tap water always available.

I went to have a look at anytime fitness grovedale to see what they offered. There was plenty of equipment but only 2 classes and my 6yo could not attend with me. In hindsight I should have left to think about it but instead signed up for a membership. Instead of giving me the contract to read, I was briefed on what it said and assured it would be sent to me after I signed it.
On further consideration I cancelled the membership in the cooling off period and my fees were refunded however the fob is apparently not refundable. I have returned it as it would take at least 100 years to break down in landfill and hope they will do the decent thing and refund my money.

Absolutely disappointed with the service, very unprofessional. Avoid it like the plague! I'll be lodging a complaint to Consumer Affairs for sure (it seems like they are ripping off lots of people out there, check out the product review website for anytime fitness Australia).

My account was frozen for 6 months till September, got a confirmation email as a proof from Tomas. Now they direct debit the fee for July and Jemma claimed that they couldn't refund it. Jemma couldn't care less, they just want your money!
DON'T join this gym, there are lots of better options out there! Avoid them!

I'm not sure where these people came up with such a high rating for this gym. It's actually the first gym i walked in and straight out of after getting changed. The machine quipment is great but the gym is literally missing all the basics like a single adjustable bench to do incline/decline workouts with? And the absolute smallest range of free weights but nowhere to really use them so again the most basic stuff. I don't do many reviews but felt this was a must because all the other ones were so misleading and wasted my time going there as it's close to work. My local AF club is awesome and i didn't realise how good i had it until seeing this complex.

The perfect gym to workout. Great staff and management, well priced membership and fantastic range of exercise equipment always well maintained.
