November 2023 I lost my job, I had just recovered from my multiple surgery done on my foot and my partner and my housemates were away. After the company broke the news to me I came home in an aw expression trying to figure out what was happening, I came home and naturally went into survival mode trying to cancel any subscription and keep myself in a tight budget. I called anytime fitness mount waverly and that was the first time I had talked to Carmen, I explained my situation to her and she said, “she understood”. I wasn’t in a good place mentally and I wanted to isolate myself. After a few days Carmen called me back and motivated me to come to the gym. She said she talked to the management and they were more than happy to look after me for a month. I didn’t wanted to go out or do anything but their effort pulled me in. For the next 3-4 weeks I went to the gym met so many of the staff in there. I was afraid to break the news to my family and friends cause I really worked hard for that job, but Carmen, Tishan and Chad and many of you guys helped me get back on my feet and gave me company. Gym started to feel like home to me.
Carmen, tishan, chad and the management, I’m eternally grateful of you guys for giving me hope in life. Because of you I’m now back on my feet and working on my dream.

Have been at this gym for over 2 years. It has plenty of room and lots of great equipment. Not too busy so you get access to the equipment and machines you want to use.

**GYM OWNER NEEDS TO STOP MAKING FAKE ACCOUNTS AND LEAVING 5 STAR REVIEWS**

Cleanliness in this gym is appalling. How does Anytime Fitness expect to "make healthy happen" when gym management can't even clean the gym? Equipment is extremely dirty, no wet wipes provided. Only a home made urine spray and tissues to wipe down equipment. Also, the ventilation in this gym is non existent.

I can smell poo throughout the gym when someone uses the toilet. Why is there a make shift toilet and sink in one, which you have to flush to wash your hands?

Also take a look at the most diluted hand soap I've ever come across.

Additionally there is HazMat in the ceilings. This place is a joke and a health hazard

The gym is so bad.the owners are so cheap and make fake reviews.please use some of the fradulent money u stole from us to improve the quality of services mike and tishan.

This place is never cleaned! There’s asbestos in the walls.

Don’t ever come here!

Great place to work out. Staff are friendly and love to chat. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Cancelling gym membership is very hard at this club. They will tell they going to transfer the account to someone but that’ll never happen. And when we wanted to get in for a short term one, they don’t have any transfers left and you have to get a whole new package. These guys only concern about money. I had a very bad experience and still paying for them eventhough I’m not going there for over 6+ months.

Poor conditions + shady people.not surprised about the drug taking.avoid avoid.its a 0 star gym.but they get customers because their manager makes fake 5star reviews. I'm just here to balace things out.and to show real pics of the gym

There is poo all over the bathroom walls! There is mould on all the equipment.can you please please please organise cleaners and replace some of the filthy equipment.please dont give me a blanket response of saying my names not in ur system.i visit the gym multiple times a week!

Serious question, why are all the 1 star reviews from real people who have had serious financial issues with this business? And then all the 5 star reviews are from fake accounts or Mike's family and cousins in India who are giving dodgy reviews? The 5 star reviews on this page are clearly fake. Check their profiles! Their other reviews are from chennai india lol.

Its simple.restore proper hand santisers to the steel cans.stop using watered down detergent.use PROPER cleaning stuff.its unclean here

No offence.its been covid for 2 years. HOW ON EARTH DO YOU STILL NOT HAVE CLEANING SUPPLIES TO WIPE DOWN BENCHES?
This gym is a hotspot for covid. There have been 10 covid cases from this gym in just the last 48 hours.you guys need to get PROPER cleaning products.not just paper towels.

They don't respond to emails so don't bother.no free wifi, you have to like their Facebook page first. There are weights laying around everywhere, even at 9pm, it's really untidy.i tried quitting this gym in person and the staff member told me that I won't be charged if i never set foot into the gym again, in case i change my mind and want to come back. They charged me twice after that. I called them and was told that my issue has been taken to the "accounts team", so it's "out of their hands". I called again weeks later and told me I'd get my money back "this Friday". I called again and they said i had to give 30 days notice to quit which is why they charged me twice? So i was lied to the whole time.

Mike.why did you lie and wrongfuly take money from my bank account? PLEASE REPLY TO ME! You wont respond to my emails or calls

Good equipments and easily available no rush. Clean toilets. Membership is much affordable. Thanks guys.

Poor communication primarily because they don't have any english-speaking staff. I've had to communicate via emails, but even then they do not get replied to. I also agree with the other comments about having more money taken out of m bank account that is unwarranted.

Unclean. They don't provide hygeine products. And i didn't like how the Manager Mike kept lying to me about my contract. That is the honest truth.lost a lot of money to that man

Everything is ok until I wanted to cancel my membership. I was only made aware of a 30-day written notice rule when I told the club I want to cancel. However, the direct debit did not stop after 30 days and I was being charged for nothing. This club seems to largely ignore the franchiser's email requests after I got them involved and repeatedly made empty promises about when my refund will be processed. I am still waiting for Anytime Fitness Mount Waverley to pay back the money they ripped off from me to this day. If only it was as easy for an average consumer to engage a debt collector.:)

Mike and the team are always up for a chat and make the place feel welcoming. Plenty of equipment so you never need to wait to work out. Great atmosphere
