Cupcake had his cataract surgery on 08/11/23 by Dr. Robin introduced by Richmond Vet.

Dear Robin: thank you for all the hard work you and your team did on my 12 years old Spoodle, seems like you gave him a “second life”. Compare to the past 4 years, now he is so happy, so active and so enjoying his life instead of spending most of time on his bed. I’m so glad I have made right decision in the end base on your professional suggestion.
Thank you and your team again and I wish all of you a happy new year and hope you can have some time off. See you in May.

The level of care for my puppys surgery was exemplary.
The staff explained all outcomes, risks and benefits associated with the surgery.
Post care was terrific and when I had queries, I was responded to within a short time frame.
Couldn’t recommend more highly.
Thank you to all the team!

Accessing medication is too difficult at this clinic. We were provided a prescription that didn't last and the meds ran out. Noting there is a 24 hour notice period in the fine print, however I was repeatedly given timeframes of the meds being available that did not eventuate so we had to wait while our dogs eye deteriorated. Mulgave & Mount Waverley provide refills within the prescription period, however Malvern East require an online form, sign-off and waiting period for medication despite being within the prescription period. When I raised this concern with the Clinic, the owner informed me that the client & practitioner relationship will be terminated for myself and my dog! I was even informed that my dog will not be provided with any after hours or emergency care from Animal Eye Care. I am shocked and disgusted by the emotional & petty response by the owner, who clearly cannot handle this accurate & warranted feedback about the flawed medication process not in line with the local market standard. This is evident by his decision to prevent emergency medical services to an animal as some sort of personal grudge.

Absolutely disappointing!
I would think twice before coming here!
It seems this place is nothing but a cash grab.

I am very disappointed with how my 1yo pup has been treated from here. She had a condition where her lenses had come loose, they charged us just over 3k to remove the lense. Not once were we informed that she would end up getting glycoma and needing her eyes removed. After the surgery not once did they do any testing to see how much vision she has.

This shows that yous only care about taking peoples money and taking them for a ride.

Shame on yous

I just wanted to thank Dr Helen. She looked after me so well when I came in for my check up, She said I was doing very well with my eyes. Dr Helen, I hope you go well with your studies coming up. I know you will do a fantastic job.

I was very excited to see 'my' Doctor Helen but I was a bit upset when I found out Megan had left, she was my very good friend and she used to call me the 'Sherriff'. I will miss you so much and I hope you enjoy your new job.

Wanted my pet's eye trouble looked at. They wanted a $300 fee paid before being seen. I asked why, and why so much. Answer was "because the demand is high, we can" = outrageous & so different from how they used to treat patients. Money is now king = so sad, so bad!

The level of care at Animal Eye Care is wonderful. It feels like there is never any compromise in looking after your family member, and that all staff are so knowledgeable in their specialisation. The printed notes after each appointment are so valued for not only the person who attends the appointment as a later reminder of what happened, but also for those in the family that weren't able to attend so they feel involved and apart of the process, and so everyone in the family can be involved in caring. We were referred by Project Under Dog veterinary team, and we'd recommend Animal Eye Care to anyone for ophthalmic care. Thank you for looking after our Bon!

My wife and daughter recently visited this clinic, and we just wanted to say how grateful we are for finding this place that took our beloved kitty in, as an emergency patient with no appointment. It started off with a very warm, welcoming and reassuring conversation on the phone by Mari, the nurse/unit receptionist. After that, our kitty had a fantastic and highly professional examination conducted by Dr. Joyce Hung, carried out with love, tender and care. This was followed by the super professional examination by Dr. Matt Sanders. Our kitty now has his beautiful crystal clear, sky blue eyes restored again, thanks to this exceptionally lovely and highly experienced team.

The Vets are pretty good but the receptionists are completely useless. I do not recommend this clinic.

What wonderful and caring people.
My pup is undergoing treatment with the care team specialists here and I could not recommend this clinic enough.
All staff are wonderful and take the time to explain all procedures.
Such highly skilled and compassionate staff deserve such a high recommendation.
Many thanks dr. Robin and staff.

I visited my regular vet who advised me that my dog's eye issue was a very serious condition that required surgery ASAP or my dog risked losing her vision in one eye. She called Animal Eye Care who were willing to stay back after close on a Friday night to perform the surgery. Marnie and Helen were brilliant, managing to calm a normally very panicked dog. She even ended up falling asleep on the table, which I've never seen happen! Thankfully it turned out to be not as serious as previously thought. It was definitely worth crossing the city to get to, not only for the peace of mind and a more accurate diagnosis, but also for the care and great service provided!

Incredibly grateful to Dr. Robin & team for their excellent care for my 15-year-old Pomeranian who turned blind suddenly because of diabetes. It developed some complication after the 10th day of eyes surgery (a rare incident as I understand) which required regular attention and follow-ups. Through their compassion, dedication and utmost professionalism, my dog has both his eyesight back enjoying life as usual. Thank you from Happy and I.

My experience with this clinic was poor! I would not refer ANYONE to take their loved little buddy here. To begin with on the consent form they ask you to rate how much your pet means to you (what kind of question is that?)
I believe thats so they can jab you with their heft HIGH fees. Depending on your pets case of course they will tell you they NEED surgery regardless of the recovery period and their age (mine being 11). Then they will set follow up appointments but NEVER send out letters or phone calls, you need to be onto of yourself _ rightly so as it is your pet but when you being charged administration fees, c'mon there has to be some responsibility on the clinic. Disgusted and as i said at the beginning would NEVER send my pet there AGAIN. Do your research guys - as this clinic is just taking the piss!

AEC were fantastic. Very gentle with my dog, very reassuring to me, thorough assessment and clearly explained diagnosis. Cost was much less than I expected for a specialist service. Faultless.

Fantastic service, highly recommend. Heather fixed my dog's eye issues in the first visit with medication, after 4 other Vet's couldn't fix it and were all recommending surgery. Very grateful to finally find someone with the right expertise, thank you Heather!

Cannot fault them. Very well-priced, efficient, professional, and highly competent. Blue wandering around checking on everyone was lovely too. Thanks for looking after Sparkles so well! ️

The Staff are so friendly and welcoming. My dog was meant to have surgery at our local vet but they had some concerns prior to the starting the procedure. Animal Eye Care was recommended and they fit us in on the same day allowing us to feel at ease and comforted. Heather was our specialist who was efficient and thorough. She made us feel safe to leave our pet in her hands and performed the required procedure within a couple of hours. Our pet left in good spirits and we were really impressed and extremely happy with the service. The nurses and staff were very friendly and lovely to deal with. Thank you from us and Busta:)
