Anh Tuk Restaurant & Pub reviews
22 Lovely family owned restaurant, we've been here a couple of times and we must've ordered the wrong dishes to eat at the restaurant.
This place specializes in certain dishes, so do NOT order bun rieu (artificial red), BBH (cheap cut, full of fat) or spring roll vermicelli noodles.
I ordered a portion of broken rice but the pickles were bitter and smelly and the rice was normal rice, not broken rice. The food took a long time to come out and the price for the food is still the same and the boss didn't apologize to me.an extremely bad experience
Fresh and delicious! We love this place and have visited multiple times in the last month. We love the papaya salad, the grilled meat balls with vermicelli and the mixed pork rice noodle salad! Generous portion sizes and great value for money!
Bun cha always excellent. Want to try the mam tom some day. Many people seem to order the steak which also looks good
Always pleased and full when eating at this place, the food is tasty, it is like eating at a michellin restaurant. Overall, I would recommend this place
I've lived in Footscray for two years and have only recently found this gem.
So many dishes to try with authentic Vietnamese flavours, you'll be coming back to try more.
Prices are relatively modest as well. I've come here twice in one week and I'll definitely be visiting more often.
Everything we had was great, not a single disappointment!
Easily the best Bo Ne in Melbourne, haven't come across a better place, this is definitely the go to, serving size is pretty good, food is rich in flavour, steaks have gotten a little larger now which is great, overall they ace the flavours everytime, they have a variety of food which is pretty good and drinks are great too.
Prices have risen a little since I was there last, bit on the pricier end for footscray, but still worth it.
Great family run restaurant.
Beef sizzling plate with meatballs is my go to. Great Vietnamese ice coffee.
Must try!
Bun cha was amazing.hidden gem. I will be back. It gets really busy during lunch time. Bun dau mam tom was good too. Definitely coming back for bun cha. Top 5 in Melbourne easy
Can't say much because I've just tried one dish here, Bun bo Hue. It tastes ok, not really like the traditional taste of Bun bo Hue but not bad, generous serving size with lots of meat. One plus point for generous vegetables and great service! It's pretty small so can be noisy.
We had stewed beed and fish noodle. The noodle is a bit too sweet for our taste. Staff was very friendly.
Some of the items in the menu have been removed and because it was rainning really bad on that day, most of the lights shutdown and the water went through the roof. However, I tried the 'Bun Dau Mam Tom' and it tasted amazing.
We tried this place again for the second time. Experience was better compared to the first time.
Menu is good with lots of Vietnamese street food.
Service is good. The staff is super welcoming, friendly and attentive. He got a very good manner too. Big bonus for the restaurant.
Food was ok, not too bad. We may need to come back and try their other dishes.
Overall, not a bad option in Footscray area.
Went here for lunch. Staff was friendly and I appreciate that.
The food was not the most authentic, but overall acceptable taste. However, me and my partner found out that the vermicelli was not fully cooked (having dry sections), and 15 minutes after the meal, we had digest problems. Please make sure you cook your food properly next time.
Another irrelevant thing: the music taste of the place at the time was very bad. Opening an awful mashup repeatedly for probably like the whole day.
We came here to try the dessert drinks and some snacks.
The flan with milo was not bad. I ordered the ching bo leung (no 12 in drink section) and didn't read the description properly. I think this drink will be much better without seaweed. It's quite refreshing but next time ask for no seaweed.
We also ordered no 45, a platter of fried fish balls, sausage etc. It's very oily, probably oil wasn't hot enough when cooked. Flavour was average.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Probably will come back to try their speciality, the hot plate with bread.
First meal out of lock down and we decided to tried a new restaurant. Service was great, friendly and attentive. We got the broken rice, bun dau mam tom and banh canh ghe. Meals were tasty and delicious. The banh canh soup could have been a little thicker in consistency but flavours were great and you get half a swimmer crab. I will be back to try their bun mam since their bun dau mam tom was quite good.
While Footscray has a plethora of Vietnamese restaurants, Anh Tuk stands out with its authentic dishes that suit our taste perfectly. Vietnamese-style steak smells and tastes amazing, is tender and perfectly seasoned, paired with hot crunchy fries and toasted bread rolls. Bun Mam is my favourite at great portion size and great balances of flavours. It also offers a selection of Vietnamese snacks and beverages. Besides the food and drinks, you will also enjoy the Vietnamese-style countryside decorations. Not to mention, the staff is absolutely lovely, remembering us even only after 1 visit. A great experience throughout!
Delicious food and great variety, not just the usual pho or rice dishes you expect at a Vietnamese restaurant. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices.
Have brought so many friends here. Discovered the Nem Nuong Nha Trang (rice paper roll with grilled meat, apple/green mango and crispy spring roll wrapper) and was hooked from the first day! Cheese jelly (sounds weird) dessert is also a must try!
My husband and I just randomly walked in for our dinner and we were surprised by their outstanding food!
We ordered Vietnamese sizzling beef, fish cake noodle soup, boiled baluts, yogurt mix violet glutinous and they all are amazing! Highly recommended!
